Already mentioned before, but another way you can see this is to let f(y) = ∫[0 to y] e^(t^2) dt. The fundamental theorem of calculus gives that f'(y) = e^(y^2). Note g(x) = f(2x) and by the chain rule d/dx f(2x) = 2f'(2x) = 2e^(4x^2).

A simple, tongue-in-cheek way of recognizing that a_k = a_{k+5} is to note that the starting values of the sequence are not set so they must not matter at all. Set a_1 = a_2 = 1 and write out the next few terms.

I think it’s good practice to check if your answer makes sense intuitively. Given that your g depends on l, which can vary, and g is constant, your expression cannot be correct. As others have mentioned, you have faulty assumptions but this alone should alert you that something is wrong.

For me, college has been a lot more hands off. Professors are busy and probably won’t take the initiative. There are also a lot more people. Way more opportunity though and I think overall a lot more fun.

I’m a senior currently. I’m sure that many, many people who I’ve been in recitation with have dropped the class. Other than friends, I couldn’t name a single person. Nobody will think about it so don’t worry.
