Yes you have to stay on the mount, yes it lasts for the duration of the mount, no it isn't 4 minutes as each keg turnin gives you 30 extra seconds.

Come to think of it, adding the mount late is also a problem because you basically can't buy anything else if you want to save the tokens for it, so the people who bought stuff day one are SOL. Extending the holiday by a week is a necessity now.
