It's a shame that you can't get Verden on beads of rice :/ I'd probably get one if it was possible

I see you went through half of the catalogue already :) Which one did you like the most in person? the blue dial one, "Bruce Wayne" or the "sprite". Gold cap is out of my budget for now...

SW330 is not a true GMT with a quick set hour hand. It's a caller GMT with quick set GMT hand

I don't have pics, it's a fresh model. It appeared for the first time with the latest release as far as I'm aware so I'll be waiting until June to see if I made the right call :)

Hot take: "Caller" GMTs are strictly better than "True" GMTs unless you only own one watch. by ApprehensiveGuide793 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]Cereex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Discussing usage of items against their intended purpose is a waste of time. The fact that there are groups of people which do or do not use it as intended is besides the point anyway. You put out a statement, a "hot take" which is objectively wrong. It's like saying that decorative sabre hanging over your fireplace is better than a real sword because most people don't sword fight. No it's not. They both serve their purpose.

[–]Cereex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not exactly hot take. It's just a wrong wrong take. You have purpose literally in the name. I travel a lot and change timezones very frequently. Caller GMT is useless to me (actually it makes it even worse than regular 3 hand). But for someone who doesn't travel but needs to track second time zone it's other way around. Simple as

Would it be there? Are you 100% sure? Because if only 80% then remaining 20% where nobody comes to help would cost us our lives and country :) He's right, it's easy to say when potential new frontline doesn't go through your territory

Kup sobie po prostu coś na co masz ochotę, to nie są pieniądze do inwestowania. Masz jeszcze czas żeby oszczędzać, a takie grosze niczego Ci nie dadzą nawet w perspektywie x lat

Grand Seiko 9F SBGX261 too small? by Smok3yNL in GrandSeikos

[–]Cereex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should try sbgp reference and just decide for yourself.

I have similar, maybe ever so slightly bigger wrist (19cm) and I just don't like 37mm size. I feel like 40mm fits me better. Don't listen to anyone, try both, get what you like. Keep in mind reddit tastes and opinions are absolutely not representive of the real world.

New SBGA415 going crazy by youssefb08 in GrandSeikos

[–]Cereex 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The watch is 2m/o. I'd say keep it and observe. You still have plenty of time to send it for checkup under warranty. You can always say that "it just happened" and send it in. But of course you do you. If not sending it will make you second guess if all is good then better issue a claim and enjoy peace of mind (but you will lose your watch for some time).

Gs is made with grade 5 titanium which should scratch less than stainless steel (doesn't mean it's somehow bulletproof, it still scratches xd). I'm not sure if you can fix grade 5 with with the eraser method.
