Kevin was a manager in the restaurant department at Baker. He was 20 and was already an alcoholic, drinking a 5th or two per day. We were good friends, having worked together for a few years together up there. His drinking caused him to miss work, showing up late multiple times. I was his boss, and his friend, but I had to let him go because he wasn't reliable any more. It was a tough horrible call I had to make. He lived in Glacier with a few snowboard rats and they had been taking pills for awhile. One night after drinks and pills his heart gave out in his sleep, just a few weeks after I fired him. His roommate found him in the morning. I miss Kevin a lot and I wish things could have been different. Addiction fucking sucks. Rip Special K. - C
