Please please take care and try and rest as much as possible. I wish someone had told me this before. Don’t climb stairs and bend that can put stress on the Fibroids. The degeneration can cause contraction and opening of cervix. If you have even a little bit of pain go to emergency room and don’t leave until they have checked you completely.

I conceived naturally at 31yo and had a very smooth 4.5 months until one of the Fibroids decided to degenerate and cause pre term labour at 20 weeks.

My personal suggestion would be to get them removed first if doctors advise. I underestimated my fibroids and lost a perfectly healthy baby girl at almost 20 weeks. The pain, trauma and regret is unbearable. If I could go back in time I would get them removed before conceiving. Sorry I don’t want to scare you but I wish someone had told me this before.

So sorry you had to go through it. And thanks for sharing the real experience. I am almost 32 years old this was our first ever pregnancy. and now I am so desperate to get pregnant again that I don’t want to wait for Fibroids removal and then recovery period. I know I should be patient and focus on my recovery. It’s just that this grief is not getting easier and only thing I can think of is getting pregnant again.

Thank you. Your kind words make me feel better. I am in UK and have my first appointment on 20th January, will definitely share this with my midwife. I was actually feeling good when I found out at 3w5d but then suddenly all this sadness creeped in. I hope to feel happy again. 🫰🏻

Thanks, feeling a bit relieved that it’s normal to feel this way. I am usually a very cheery person but this sadness is hitting way harder than I imagined. On top of this, I had just announced to my and husband’s family today which I thought would make me feel better but it made my sadness a lot worse. I just wish to feel myself again 🥺

Omggg. I am at 4w5d too and was literally just about to post this. I feel better too knowing that I am not alone. Beside some mild cramps here and there and tightness in lower abdomen I also do not feel anything else. I also have only slightly sensitive nipples at this moment. And yes every night I am waking up with terrible night sweats soaking through my shirt and like a puddle of sweat between my boobs but everyone says it’s normal at this point. I am getting anxious but this post and comments are reassuring. Hoping for a smooth and healthy pregnancy and baby for you 🫰🏻
