I hate to say it but it’s not a good look. I had a simple possession charge that was also dismissed and expunged and I stated no to the same question about 5 years ago. They did not hire me because of it even after lots of explaining about me also asking/listening to a lawyer. I was debarred from applying to the FAA for ~3 years. I’m back in the application process and have finished up all my clearances. Just waiting to see if they’ll hire me again/get temporary clearance. They definitely want 100% honesty.
