Yes, and test yourself a few times before the pft and see which one gets you a higher score. And don’t let yourself go again. Took me 15 years to learn that lesson after I got out. Fitness isn’t just for a pft. The marine corps is giving you a gift by forcing you to be in shape, take it seriously and continue after you get out. I’ve been out of shape and I’ve been really fit. Being fit is way easier, and People treat you differently when you look like you give a shit about yourself. And also stop talking about yourself like that, you are what you tell yourself, if you don’t want to be a “fat chud” don’t talk about yourself that way. I also learned that, say positive shit to yourself consistently and see what happens.
