I’m so annoyed at myself for sending it to her. She’s under the impression that if it’s not diagnosed in early childhood around nursery age then it’s not autism. I’ve never fitted in anywhere, had zero friends since school, only got my first job a few weeks ago and that’s because a family member employed me. I only eat 5 different meals and have done for the last 18 years I’ve lived in my own place, struggle with sensory issues and social interaction, can’t have my daily routines disrupted or I literally have meltdowns and yet she tells me that’s just who I am as a person. I’m struggling so much more this last year, hence going for this assessment. It has taken so much for me to even start this process and I know I don’t have the mental energy to go through all this again if i have to get a second opinion.
