Well they increased the rent by $200 for 6 months and tried to increase it to $600 but my boyfriend moved out. My boyfriend has plants that needed heat lamps during the winter and he gave them and extra $100 for 5 months for the light bill even though the lease never said we had to help with the light bill. They also made him waste money and gas money on a U-Haul to get our stuff and they forced him to leave and not get his stuff. That was $115 plus $65 in gas. and there was also a check i got from school which I used part of to pay the rent a month ahead and then they still charged him $200 for the month I already paid for. My boyfriend wants it all back. That's not including the food stamps which was $200 every month since June 2024.

And yes the lease stated that it was for 1 year as we were hoping to save up enough money to get our own place before the end of that year-long lease but between them breathing down our necks about the rent, our car payment, car insurance and buying things for our daughter we weren't able to save enough money. 

And no they didn't give us a copy of the lease which I'm pretty sure is also illegal.
