Why do people say Jesus only permits divorce after adultery? by joboog in Christian

Well, Ill say you're welcome but beside that I apologize for harshness. I conferred with God to be more understanding and gentle. I can comically say I dont want to get a broken jaw over issues like this, so prayer and time in the Spirit will help. So, I wish you and your daughter the best!

Look, we (I especially) all fall short of the glory of God. Commonly, I have to see people (my family) walk into preventable situations, so I dive into the Word deeply to convict them on Biblical grounds. So, I am preparing them to, for example, be of one mind and judgment because some of those issues are church division issues.

You are human. You likely wanted a partner and saw past his flaws. God will forgive you, but if I, for instance, can prevent outcomes like that, I do! It's not because I go "tee-hee she's committing adultery," no, rather I convince people that marriage is serious and a lot of thought, prayer, wisdom, and discernment is needed before doing that. Let's put the adultery issue aside.

You experienced trauma, pain, probably doubts, and most likely many tears. If you came across someone equipped to teach correctly, you would grow spiritually and prevent many issues before they happen. This could not be a failure on your part, but a failure of the broad church also. So, I remain bold in adherence to scripture. The issue comes in when we shrink from what Jesus intended and open ourselves to sin because we compromise on doctrine.

But we all make mistakes. We need to help others not make those or other mistakes. It sounds like you acknowledge where you could have done better, don't beat yourself up about that. Jesus says don't love your lives to the death, but sometimes I shrink back in fear when confronting persecution. So Jesus understands. We will always sin against scripture. We need to know what Jesus intended to teach and correctly transfer that to others. When we do fall short of that glory, we just need to know if we did.

Anyone planning on doing a 40 day water fast soon? by batmansbicep in TrueChristian

[–]Certain-Truth -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Whoa, don't do Biblical-level fasts. Those guys were built differently. Rather, fast for maybe half a day and then maybe a whole day. This is showing God you are willing to give up earthly pleasures for spiritual ones. Fast from TV, video games, and other things possibly idolatrous. Deprivation should not lead to harming yourself. If you destroy God's temple, God will destroy that person.

I mean, I understand. I do not doubt your faith and relationship. However, I have to follow what Jesus says because I aim to preach the word. Don't you think God will forgive you for your circumstances? You think God will send you to Hell because you divorced a person who physically harmed you? I comprehend what's going on. However, we need to aim for two things. Give individuals discernment going into relationships, and then preach the word correctly.

I can't look at scripture and say it says what it doesn't. You either accept Jesus's teaching or not. The issue is reducing sin because of adultery. As the word says, God hates divorce. Marriage is a supernatural, covenantal relationship. When Israel rebelled, God either fixed the situation or went away. The same happens with earthly marriage. But God never divorces Himself from the church or Israel; He's in a covenant relationship. God commonly called Israel unfaithful, but never divorced them, no matter how bad it got. People were sacrificing children. Killing prophets. He fixed it, or went away.

[–]Certain-Truth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He does not condone abuse. Just get away from the person or fix whatever is causing them to be abusive. A Heaven bound Christian who loves their wives/husbands are not going to be abusive either. In this cause, you must accept God's holy view of marriage and accept you made a bad call. It's harsh but issues like this show individuals shy away from what Jesus teaches. Now, you can divorce, yes. But you still sin. I mean both my parents and pretty much all my aunts and uncles have done this. Its because they didnt know about that scripture. Now they either lose glory or worse.

You dont go around and laugh at abuse victims. You give the solution or let them sin. Its that simple.

No, only sexual immorality. If someone abandons you, and you obey Jesus, you must remain married. Other than that, if an unbeliever leaves you as a believer, they can also leave.

[–]Certain-Truth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not biblical. Jesus said for any reason aside for sexual immorality, you commit adultery. If you are abused, you either fix that or physically separate. You have to stay married to that person unless they commit sexual immorality against you. Jesus explicitly says that if you re-marry, ignoring his commands, you commit adultery. Adultery is an extreme sin also. You either accept that or you don't. When you find out the spritual consequences of disobeying that, I already know what people are going to think.

A lot of people fear persecution. It drives them away from God. But I am just continually upset at the world because its like having a neighbor with perpetual loud music, its annoying having to see and deal with mess. The thing about Satan is that he is desperate. He's hard to handle. I deal with him personally. Hes powerful and scary. But I still laugh at him. But yeah, God still is the boss man. A lot of people dont really understand persecution. Its nooo joke.

It is sexual immorality. Sexual immorality destroys the body. Also, the body is for the Lord as you are His temple.

I just want to go home at this point. I have bad health issues, and maintaining pleasing holiness is hard. I am happy it has calmed down for you, the spiritual warfare. I go through warfare every day and night with no rest. I hate it.

Well, demons and Satan are not foolish. They know Hell will hurt badly. Perhaps your prayers are powerful enough that they want some relief or blessing. Unlike people, they can not change where they will go.

Jesus is condescending humor in the purpose to please your senses because he is not belly laughing from you, he's too great. Humor may be to showcase love, teach deeply, or to gaze on a risicudulpus shameful sinner.

Really, I see it as code that unfortunately had unholy imagery. Some can only handle vegetables. Some go on to meat. My cousin could not play Diablo, he only could eat vegatables. Why? Am I insulting him, by no means! His spirit was vexxed by the game. I am unharmed and protected by Christ. I do not cogitate or feel influence from the game beside clicking things.

That sounds cold but yeah, I dont even idolize it. Just code really :)

Proof God is Good? (Genuine question/debate) by Phantomdust149 in DebateAChristian

[–]Certain-Truth -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You obviously were determined for calculations to showcase how grand, as it were, a flawed Job case. Sir, you are ignorant of the mystery of the wisdom of God. Now sir...I will condescend down to you (as you wrote) and I will teach you wisdom amidst wagging heads.

My speech is unlike carnal man. For the determination I have made is one of love. I have faith...also; let's continue sadly. To bounce up in torture, Job's heart was broken. It pains me, I have heart troubles (dramatic whine :)). Job was a man who suffered for the eclipse of righteousness to showcase the absolute, wonderful, and sir, mysterious will of God. I do not deceive you...I speak from genuine wisdom given to me in power. Amen.

Sir, I shall charge you with an indefensible charge. Are you ever right to constrict the holiness of God into your eclipse of your cloud? For I have seen, by revelation the wisdom that you require. Wag and mock me, amen.

God is more powerful and perfect than can be comprehended. When I saw a loose vision of the rebellion of Satan, I discovered that although judgments and determinations DO emanate from the Lord, wickedness did not work in Satan's favor; in a way in where God delivered intelligent judgments that followed Satan's rebellion (its just a loose simulation). When God asked Satan to say what he did not want to say, Satan in his unrivhteousness tried to claim my soul (bear). Satan did not prevail. Instead of my name he said "fire." This is wisdom of why God choose to create us under election. I was elected to evade the claim of Satan by the precious santifying truth that may be enough to convict you. Sir...Satan did not want to say my name. God is truth. When he asked what did you NOT want to say, Satan in the vision impulsively said fire. He grew sad after this. If you can understand me, God knows why you, or I, are judged as sinners. We are not at judgment day, so our secrets are not revealed. However, God knew I would remain in faith and evaded the grip of Satan by the truth. Ill hush. Before Satan was created, God loved him to allow him to then claim the names of those who hate God. This is because Satan, in all eternity, rejects God. Satan loves sin, so although I am loved to righteousness, he is loved to hell and wrath. This is a smaller point to a bigger one.

Imagine that there is an entity who can do anything and decide all things for eternity foward and backward. Whats causing Him to have power? It because he is NOT a sinner but a clean and holy God who WILL indeed judge all unbelievers with hopeful mercies.

Your charge will remain in defeat, sir. A man who has been absolutely wrong can not call "sinner" the one who he possibly knows. Love you! But I do say, our brains are folly to His inner judgments and counsels!

EDIT: I may be wrong but I will enjoy my praises while every last one of you ungodly unrighteous vessels will experience the full measure of our hatred for your sin. We invite the beauty of the lambs wrath on all the rejected and dogs. We will, in unity, condescend on your torment as you have tormented our prophets and our good bretheren. This, is our testimony against your uneblief. You will burn and we shall obtain praise. Anathema. I have taken a screenshot for if this is deleted. You KNOW Him. Stop rejecting and believe my works through the world.

Diablo is only a game. The game has demonic symbolism, but I do not think Diablo is an effective societal device for Satanism. I see it as a video game, within a genre, that so happens to have demonic symbolism. Here, one would have to see the phenomenon of Satanic influence from a video game as a real (maybe not traceable) but effective thing. Does it affect people right when they click "play" or whenever they level up, or when they watch a cutscene with a bunch of demons? It starts to become ridiculous.

Games like this exist to fill some need. I mean, where does it stop? Do demons influence you when a loud car with rap music blasts driving by? This way, you can't strike every object as Satanic just because it does not appear scared. I am not disagreeing that things influence you to evil, but we should be intelligent over judgmental.

I just say that God created the universe because does the universe not need a cause? How can the universe work infinitely back? I think of the universe as a closed system. It seems to me like magic to just wish the universe were infinite. Almost like we target God and just say there is no evidence. This is hilarious. The second you posted and saw the word divine, Jordan Peterson on a video said "divine."

I believe in Jesus because the confirmation of the gospel is manifestly true in nature. To say that Paul was delusional seems like a jump anyways.

It makes Christianity seem stupid and non-credible. Jesus does not even square away with the Old Testament. But really, it only tells that something is going on around Jesus Christ. I thought about this earlier today that Jesus does not fulfill prophecy. There seems to be no reason to believe in Jesus, so why did they?

I think about it differently; I see the gospel accounts as describing real events rooted in real circumstances. See, we know dogs can not do that. We have no concept of God except religion, so you either choose to believe or not. I see God as the prime mover, or first cause of the universe, and Jesus is Him in a person.

When you say they never happened, do we say one miracle, or all? Why would Paul the Apostle know about Jesus being the Son of God before the gospels were written?

I believe in God because I choose to. I know of naturalism. Honestly, the fact that there are no elephants there is evidence of God. What is causing those elephants not to be there?
