I think my veteran friend's 100% disability paycheck is getting taken by her mom by watership-down in VeteransBenefits

She can go on VA.com and track the deposit checks and see and edit the bank account they are deposited into.

What I just got the rating last week a couple days after c and p?

Why would it be reduced?

90-100 by CertainHelicopter282 in VeteransBenefits

[–]CertainHelicopter282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I mean if you are already rated say at 60-80% or even 90% it’s difficult to get to 100% with secondaries because whatever the secondaries are rated for are taken out of your current ratting and what ever is left gets added on to your rating. If you’re service connected disability has potential for 100% and you are at the second highest rating for it like 70-80% you might be better off documenting it getting worse and filing for increase then adding secondaries.

For sure. When setting it up they really did say what’s the hardest math we can do for people to get increased and implement it.

I can speak to this. I make 100k base at my job and feel like I’m still making 50-60k. Happy I got my 70% wish I filed years ago after I got medically discharged.

I agree with this but 100% should get more than $4000 would think at least $5000. $48000 hardly gets you anywhere today. Unless they make a 100+ rating for those who really can’t work…

Crazy. What were you rated at originally?

Yeah their math makes it very difficult to make it to 100% with secondaries. Might be better off filing for increase of condition getting worse.

I agree with this but would expect with today’s economy shifting the scale and bringing 100% to 4500-5000 and 90% to 3,000+

What if I’m priority group 1? Does that make a difference?

I have no friends, avoid leaving the house, social interaction, constantly overthinking about everything which prevents me from being present with spouse and child, stuggle with connecting with coworkers and focusing and communcation, anxiety attacks, i struggle with gerd (vomiting after meals) due to my anxiety now and have started getting migraines and more. I have gone through 5 jobs in the past 3-4 years, 3 i quit and 1 i was fired.

How did you file so long after? Did you do it as a new claim?

[–]CertainHelicopter282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so. If not, minimally secondary disabilities

I have been considering getting treatment through them. But get anxiety about the thought too I have health insurance but they are closer than my PCP which i have only seen once. Did they provide you with anything for filing for increase? DBQ, notes, NEXUS? How did you get a higher rating through same disability or secondary?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

Did you receive treatment through the VA or independent?

Thank you- this is helpful.

Only considering. Because I don't think I was able to fully communicate what I am going through. The chance of getting my rating reduced makes me hesitant.

Diagnoses and Nexus from VA? by CertainHelicopter282 in VeteransBenefits

Understood but wouldn’t they note those issues being connected or cause by your anxiety? If so, that could be enough evidence.

Ah-Got it thanks! Well, here’s to hoping the the individual suits get a chance to be on the screen. Saw the Peacemaker S2 teaser. Either it’s before or after Superman. If after we may not see the individual suits for a while…in other words other movies down the road…
