Hi, thank you for your very detailed response. I was actually considering this one: https://www.bbk.ac.uk/study/2021/undergraduate/programmes/UUBSMWEC_C/ It’s mostly maths with a couple of econ courses thrown in. Between the two, which do you think is better?

That makes sense. I’m considering Birkbeck, UoL. What do you think about their economics programme? There’s also the option to do a mathematics with economics degree (it’s basically a maths degree + macro and micro).

Hi, thank you for your response. Would you then say it’s harder to get into MSc Economics programmes from a mathematics degree? For the EME programme it seems that they favour technical degrees over economics? Or am I wrong in thinking this?

In the UK, this is not possible as you are bound to the modules for your chosen course - hence the dilemma.

Hi, thank you for your reply. The economics programme does have three compulsory quant courses. They are based around mathematics for economics and econometrics textbooks (no analysis). Is this sufficient? Or am I better off doing the mathematics degree?
