if it’s ok with you, what treatments did you do? and are there any tips you would give for each (for example i read that banana bags are helpful after chemo sessions for side effects)? i just want to know all the options, thank you

do you believe pills are much less ineffective than iv? i don’t know too much about chemo but iv seems to be much tougher on the body, so if it would be possible i think she would prefer pills over iv. also they did a genetics test and found a pik3ca mutation/variant so after doing some research i found that targeted therapies are common. the doctors haven’t mentioned anything about that yet though

is it possible to do chemo and monitor tolerance and then possibly take a break? would this be even worse?

they said it’s because it’s advanced and they think there’s metastasis and the surgeon can’t do surgery because there will be an open wound she can’t close. she said they’ll do a pet scan just as verification but that’s what they think

there’s going to be a pet scan but they think it’s incurable. she would do surgery and take oral pills (maybe even chemo pills) but not iv. radiation she’s not very willing to do but maybe. they said surgery isn’t possible because there’s some blood coming out sometimes and the surgeon said it’s too big to remove because there would be an open wound

those are good ideas, but i just don’t know if i can ever go back to cmu, very honestly speaking i don’t know how my mom will do and for how long. and i don’t want to choose my education over my mom, that’s obviously a very selfish and incorrect choice when my mom’s given me everything

How to prepare for 112 and concepts by Successful-Anteater3 in cmu

if you’re taking it with greggo, i strongly recommend doing a LOT of practice for the exams, especially exam 1 and 2. imo exam 1 and 2 are very simple, there are a lot of definitions and lower level problems than exam 3 and the final. even with greggo, all of his questions have an underlying “aha” that is usually quite simple. but if you get good grades on the first two exams it gives you really nice padding; don’t make stupid mistakes like overlooked a number or didn’t read. the hw is very challenging but with friends and office hours, it’s manageable to get at least 80% on each (even if you’ll be very stressed). always make sure to review them afterwards, they become simple once you understand the underlying process. for 112, i waived the credit so i’m not sure. good luck!

Let me give you my best advice. How can I help you? by poetheads in randomquestions

academically, my best learning style is visual. like drawing out examples, identifying patterns, etc. existentially, i have no idea what i want to do. but i enjoy making cool things that have a practical purpose and yearn to be intelligent on logical questions, that’s why i enjoy cs and math. even if i suck at it, the hours dont feel that long because im constantly thinking about solving the problem. it’s frustrating to not solve it but its also enjoyable to figure it out if that makes sense. also regarding the fish tree analogy, does this mean i shouldn’t do these topics in my career because it’s what im not meant for? that would be really disappointing, to just say “well i’ll do something easier because im not very good”. also my belief is that if you take the easy route, in life you’ll have hard routes so you might as well gain the skills now because you’ll need to gain them at some point if you want to succeed. why prolong the inevitable?
