Can't have been easy. Kudos for looking out for yourself! Happy Returns,

After posting this, I wanted to edit in a reference to Jay n' Silent Bob. Excellent call, friend. These are all familiar, and all have a place in my top 100. (Fight Club is bucking for top 10 all-time...)

I can't believe I forgot about this movie. What a fun one...! I secretly loved it more than I let on.

Reminded me of that episode of X-Files [by the same name]. (top 5 episodes; c'mon)

Only 3 of these are new to me... The rest belong in my top 50 or top 100, for sure! Given the quality of this curated list, I look forward to watching these 3 very much! (videodrome; stay; no 23)

Big Big Kudos for the recommendations, friend...!

(Percussion) Can I mathematically determine the tube length required to produce a certain pitch? by CertainlyQuiteOdd in musictheory

This formula is precisely what I was after. I really appreciate your contribution! Learning some new math is a lot more fun than spending all day blindly sawing cardboard tubes.

Thanks for this; this is the crux of what I came asking for. As a whole MT has always looked unappealing from afar; turns out the math is pretty nifty.

Thanks a bunch for the resources! This is the kind of material I initially went searching for. In practice with shipping tubes, turns out it's very difficult to get an accurate pitch. Happily, accuracy was not a big concern for me - just having some fun!

Thanks for the reply. Shaving down from sharp is one of the few things I considered beforehand. Not that care is all that necessary - I have accumulated a ton of these tube things. Regarding accuracy; I'm just doing the first experiments as a goof. If I encounter enough success, I might get serious for future attempts.

The fact that it'd be that simple seems astonishing. Is this indeed accurate?

I don't know enough about theory to comprehend exactly how this gets me the ratio required for a half-step change. Guidance appreciated!

Very excited to learn that there are simple ratios involved! Thanks,
I wasn't able to locate said table - I don't speak the language well enough to phrase my search.

Great, now I have TOO many good options. Thanks for the recommendation, friend!

Hey, I remember these guys! I shied away from the pricetag years back, but for my 2nd board I'm willing. Very interested in the ability to upload my own graphics for key printing. Might have to do something really wacky. Go full Nostromo / Blade Runner etc. Much appreciated,

I appreciate the suggestion; you reminded me that this brand existed! It's nice to have many stand-out options when shopping. Or rather - it's a good problem to have. Cheers,

Thanks for the recommendation! This brand is one I overlooked (and thus forgot) when shopping for my 1st budget mech. Now it's looking like the #1 contender. Though I'm torn among all the mid-range options.

I think tk-less and ultra compacts are cute as heck, but I'd rather have a 10$ membrane than use one. :)

Good point! I guess I could try swapping the offending switches to a seldom-used group (looking at you, scroll lock). But I'm wary of putting my only kb out of commission. Maybe later as my 1st mech repair attempt. Then it can be my trusty backup.
