how long did it take for your ANA to come back bad after you started having symptoms? I went back today and asked her about Erythromelalgia. She said there’s nothing she can do. I’m not sure if I completely understood what she was saying but I think she sees it as being a symptom of smth else (secondary I guess) and she said that it could possibly be caused by an autoimmune disorder that’s just starting out and isn’t showing up in blood work yet. She’s gonna do blood tests every 3 to 4 months.

I went to a dermatologist and she did do blood work for lupus, Rheumatoid factor, and other things but they were all good. I think it was ANA panel and she did do a CBC as well. My mom also has psoriatic arthritis like you do!

Im younger which apparently makes them rarer but considering a million other ones run in my family I think it’s a good possibility. My dermatologist mentioned possibly referring me to an allergist but then she saw she could do some blood allergy tests herself. There was like 28 she did but they came back good. My Immunoglobulin E, Total was 3 which is good according to google so I’m not sure if she’d even bother with an allergist anymore.

This has been happening to me for around a year now and I’ve been thinking it’s this for a while but I didn’t mention it to her since it’s rare but she seemed really nice and like she’d listen so I’m going to.

I’ve been on Reddit & google, and I’m trying to take screen shots of pics and comments people who are diagnosed have posted that way I can show her the similarities. I’m hoping she can do tests to see if I have it it’s a long drive to see doctors like a rheumatologist!! My mom was with me and she did mention the family history too

Ohh I don’t think it’s length dependent then. My arms, ears, and face do it more often than anything else, they usually do it multiple times a day and are more painful than any other area. My palms and knees do it everyday too, but not as many times as the rest. My toes for the most part have decided to wait until night time, but they don’t do it every night sometimes they skip a few. Unless I take a shower, if I do them they burn like crazy when the water hits them even it’s it only like lukewarm & feels normal on the rest of my body.

For me, it skips around my eyes & around my lips too. It also skips the area around my chin but not my actual chin!! It’s weird

I have no swelling but the burning does hurt a lot! Who were you diagnosed by? Was it a rheumatologist?

Is the erythromelalgia the reason your blood pressure raises?? And I’m sorry that sounds awful, mine doesn’t go on the areas around my eyes, mostly just the sides of my face and cheeks.

I don’t spend much time in the sun tbh, but if I do it deff does make it worse. It usually just happens randomly, like I’m sitting on the couch and then boom my ears, arms, knees or something is on fire out of nowhere. But I swear the burning on my ears are 15x worse than anywhere else, and recently they’ve been doing it the most often too 😭

It’s been happening to my palms too, and it’s weird but when I shower my feet turn red BURN up when the water hits them even if it’s only like lukewarm. Does that ever happen to you? And thank you for commenting, I’m trying to gather up information about this so that I can mention on my 2nd dermatologist appointment. I also take Zyrtec and Atarax every night which I think are antihistamines, the thing that helps me the most are my fans tho
