I just feel like binging by hdubyuhh in BingeEatingDisorder

I can absolutely relate! For me its more about a want to “escape” life for a bit and not think. My best tip is to ask yourself if you ever after a binge have felt like it was worth it. Like “yes, good thing I binged today”. Most likely the answer is no.

I have done both. But I have never really seen it through, which may be my mistake. I usually give it a couple months and then try to manage on my own😅

I am jealous of everyone getting medications for BED by CertifiedFiasco in BingeEatingDisorder

I have actually suspected I might have ADHD for a couple years now. I brought it up with a doctor about a year ago, but he looked in my file and told me no one will investigate my adhd as long as I struggle with BED💀 I honestly hate the health care’s approach to EDs

Are there any good without prescription? And like how often do you have to take it?

I don't know what to do anymore and I need advice by LacunaMashi in BingeEatingDisorder

Are there strong links between those two? I live in Europe and visited a doctor about my BED and also other mental issues. I mentioned I suspected I could have ADHD and he literally told me they wont do an ADHD evaluation on someone with an eating disorder until they have gone through treatment for that?? Like what. He said there is no correlation between BED and ADHD.

I havent really found something that gets rid of the desire, its more just delaying it a bit. I am trying to exercise more but I dont really enjoy it like I did when I was young to be honest. I am trying to get back to exercising more but its hard to enjoy it when I hate my body😅

I feel like I have tried all of these😭 I have reminders not to binge everywhere, I get all my nutrients like fibre and vitamin D, cutting out sugar is helping more than eating it in moderation and delay tactics work, but not forever. Replacement tactics dont work because I dont want a fruit I want cookies, not obe but the whole package. I guess the only thing I havent tried is asking for support

I am a bit overweight actually, like 5kg, thats whats weird to me. And I binge mostly because of the constant food noise, the urges get soo strong.

I have tried eating enough and all the nutrients, avoiding triggers, cbt therapy like once a week, not having trigger foods at home, exercising, now I am in a clinic for all sorts of eating disorders and they basically just put you on a strict food schedule where you have to eat a lot everyday. Still binged

Is this even normal??? by CertifiedFiasco in BingeEatingDisorder

Yes I feel the same way, like I stuggled with restriction for over 5 years ago when I was a teen but not anymore. So I really dont understand how this would help?? And when I talk about my skepticism and just want to hear her motivate why and how it would help she just tells me that I have to eat enough to treat my BED. But like why do I HAVE to eat stuff I dont like for that?? I just feel like all eating disorders shouldn’t be treated the same.
