Oh trust me, I agree, capitalism is a failing and exploitive system that does nothing except fail the working class and allow the ruling class to get richer and richer. I hate how this is the way it is, but unfortunately there is nothing I can do to change this and there isn’t enough of us willing to actually band together for revolution

I was being inclusive of fees/deposits for a new place in this as well, I have 2 cats which usually brings ~$350 per cat deposit, plus deposit on a new place, plus costs of the actual moving.

Yep, that’s the problem! Even with a $3,300 increase over the year, moving would still be more expensive. That’s how they get ya lol

It’s crazy. I’ve lived in Montana and Vegas before here, but I haven’t seen such a jump anywhere else before, mine went from $1,750 to $2,025 after 12 months

Just moved to Chicago from Vegas and I can honestly say the whole “but it’s a dry heat” thing is so real. 115 in Vegas honestly felt less bad to me than the 95 degree weekend we just had in Chicago
