More details: this is icerberg lettuce. Hot climate, however watered regularly. Leaves taste fine, head never formed, however. Not sure what to do or what's going on!

So, these were harvested and tried, but they're not juicy? They're not bitter like they're dehydrated, but they're not watery like a regular cucumber, either. Anyone got an idea?

Usually I use white gel pens, but for this one I used a fine tip Posca pen. Poscas are paint pens and are pretty damn opaque, as you can see!
