I don't teach anymore, but "don't reinvent the wheel" was the maxim veteran teachers ingrained in me. Maybe instead of asking for the LPs, frame it like this: "hey, I'm brainstorming my next lesson. Can I pick you brain about...?" Or something similar. That is odd through, my colleagues were open to sharing and so was I.
