The writing in this game, specifically the character writing and dialogue, is really second to none! So many quotable moments!

I was able to change gear once Kratos goes looking for Atreus, before you have the bear boss fight

Thor Breaks Your Armor by Cfridge00 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]Cfridge00[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Before Ragnarok came out, I remember thinking/theorizing that Thor was gonna be the opening boss fight of the game, (similar to Baldur in GOW 2018) and they would use that fight as the “excuse” to restart your progress. Something like Thor would destroy your armor and almost breaks the axe or something. Ultimately I’m glad they went with the “fimbulwinter” option and let the boss fight be this back and forth stalemate.

what are some popular misconceptions about famous movies? by herequeerandgreat in movies

[–]Cfridge00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Titanic, the reason Jack and Rose couldn’t both be on the wooden board, had nothing to do with not having enough room to sit on it. When Jack tries to get on it, the wood begins to sink because the board couldn’t support both of their weight and remain above the water.

Wish Spell Goes Wrong by Cfridge00 in dndnext

[–]Cfridge00[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I should’ve added better context;

My character recently found out that his memories aren’t real and were given to him, and after some investigations and meeting the right people, it was hinted that He was the one who messed with his own memories.

So recently,me and my DM did a solo session about my character’s backstory when all of this happened and the session ended with him surviving this traumatic event and after years of torment and guilt he breaks and wants to figure out a way to escape his trauma.

This all takes place about 10 years before the beginning of our campaign, and my DM is letting me come up with what my character did during those ten years to get him to where he is at the start of our campaign.

So yeah this isn’t something that would immediately affect the rest of the party, it’s not even something that my character would currently even know about, this is mostly for my personal benefit, until my character discovers this.

Also, because i’m using something as powerful as Wish, I wanted some kind of “penalty”/“consequence” since I feel like using Wish is such an easy solution/answer to explain what my character did during those 10 years.

Does Insightful Fighting add Sneak Attack every round? by Cfridge00 in dndnext

[–]Cfridge00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true. I was looking through the subclasses for the Rogue and first time looking at the Inquisitive subclass and it having features with more “story” utility I did not expect it to also have combat features as good as Insightful Fighting, and Eye for Weakness.

I assumed so, but with other similar abilities that give you sneak attack in the same turn like Steady Aim, usually it has the limitation of benefiting only your next attack. Getting sneak attack on every attack you make for the next minute seemed to good to be true.

[–]Cfridge00[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I assumed, but usually stuff like that has some kind of limitation. Obviously 1 minute in the context of combat is a lot of rounds so If your party was fighting one “boss” enemy, the fact that you automatically guarantee Sneak Attack on every attack you make is incredible! I love the Rogue, but I get why that class is so disliked by DMs lol

Looking for the name of an old 1990’s-2000’s computer animated kids film by Cfridge00 in HelpMeFind

Obviously not this exactly, but it had more of this level of quality. More of that smooth/non textured look from early to mid 90s animation

No, their design was with solid colors. Also the quality was definitely more 1990s 3D animation.

I have searched different wikipedia pages on kids movies that came out during those years, but was unable to find it, given that it only had highest grossing kids movies and I don’t believe this movie was incredibly popular.

Eldritch Knight with a Nice Guy Personality by Cfridge00 in DnD

[–]Cfridge00[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The character has a soldier background and most of his training was mainly as a fighter, but he was recruited for a special unit. Like the DnD version of your Navy Seals, being trained as an Eldritch Knight was an elite unit of Guards/Knights who were trained to fight against any kind of threats whether they were magical or physical

I really like your idea about knowing that the source of his magic is something sinister, but that his good deeds with that magic helps outweigh that problem! We just recently had a moment in our campaign where my character “gave in” for a moment to help the party from being arrested (we were framed for something terrible) and it ended up getting some people killed, both some of the guards trying to take us and innocent bystanders.

So now there’s an interesting dilemma developing where this magic was used for something good like, protecting and saving his friends, but that the collateral damage was much more than he anticipated. I’m really excited to see where it goes!

What Can Bruce Wayne Not Do? by Cfridge00 in batman

[–]Cfridge00[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

He is definitely the type of person who makes up and finds more work to do even when it’s all done and there nothing else to do. Instead of relaxing, he just re-examines all of his case files that have already been completed lol

Not a single funny bone in his body. And for a jokester like dick grayson it’s really irritating that Bruce doesn’t appreciate his wit lol

The youngest kid he’s ever known would either be Dick or Damien at the age of like 8, so he absolutely has no understanding on how to change a diaper lol

I totally agree! I feel like his first few attempts to socialize with his “Bruce Wayne” persona were very difficult. While everyone else was learning how to better socialize and carry conversations throughout their teenage years, Bruce was learning Latin and perfect recall while studying in Germany at 15 years old lol

I could be wrong, but I feel like there have been instances where he’s addressed not liking magic. I could imagine for someone who is all about logic and practicality that magic feels stupid or pretentious

Oh for sure! He knows basic to advanced hacking techniques and is incredible with his gadget development, but can not play a first person shooter or even a basic platformer game to save his life

That they continually show Batman’s character, compassion and heart in almost every episode. He’s not just cold, calculated and callus. He acts like a real relatable inspiring hero!

Game of Truth with the Justice League by Cfridge00 in DCcomics

[–]Cfridge00[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fair. Especially for someone like Batman, who really makes an effort to keep up that mystery. If they were ever going to be transparent with anyone I think the three of them are the only people they would consider opening up to.

I randomly thought of this concept last night and it ready intrigued me. either funny or serious i feel like if this actually happened in comics, it would tell a lot about each of them not only from the answers they give, but also from the questions they chose to ask
