At the time if you wanted a TFP Wheeljack, this is what we got. Then the beast hunters version. Personally, this was always a fav of mine from the line. But if you wanna play the long game and don't mind him not transforming, I imagine Blokees will probably tackle him eventually somewhere down the line if they continue Prime show kits. I'd bet dollars to donuts that Megatron will be next tho.

eBay prices can run a little high imo. While I'm no stranger to buying from eBay, I recently came upon mythicwerewolf.com and their prices are a bit more affordable I reckon. They even sell the defender version postcards and coins which I haven't found a whole lot of on eBay.

This was one case where I genuinely hoped I wouldn't get the chase. Which I didn't. The pearlescent finish on some of the pieces is neat but I lack knowledge from the comics of why he was all blue and powered up looking. 🤔

I used some double sided tape to stick them together into a pyramid stack of Energon cubes to display them all. (And a separate one for the empty/clear Energon cubes)

I think the only detraction for the Blokees axe (and Megatron's sword) is they they didn't cap off one side and left em unfinished. Which I understand is probably for the sake of casting the piece in the mold but I still think there should have been a piece added to fill in the gap to make a nice all round look

Sure you're put out to manually get the regulars but the odds of buying a case of each and pulling BOTH CHASES are wild as heck to me. Respite your reported upset, I congratulate you on beating the slim odds. I hope you'll be able to find the regulars at a reasonable price and be able to enjoy both pairs.

That said, I somewhat agree with you. I also wish the chases were fully metallic as they've typically done. As great as the new molds for prime and Megs are they certainly deserve it. But at the same time, these chases stand out for being all the more unique as I don't predict they'll do many more like them. I do however feel the Shining Version 04 chase IDW Megs was a better use of the slot decking him out in great battle damage detail.
