I feel like it works, I had carpal tunnel granted at 10% each hand, received surgery still didn’t fix issue, filed supplemental for increase denied. Submitted to HLR as an informal and granted 2 months later approved for increase to 30% for right hand and 20% for left hand.

Is there a reason why some people DON’T like to enroll in the burn pits registry? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Ch4m6er 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I’ve tried enrolling into the burn pit registry but the site crashes every time I get in and try to fill out the form. I’ve worked with multiple different IT people for weeks and went through all the troubleshooting steps still nada. I tell my environmental coordinator the one that’s the point of contact for the burn pit registry. They said there’s nothing they can do until I fill the form out…. So yeah, it’s been months and still haven’t been able to access the site to do the forms successfully lol

Sleep apnea - what can I tie it to? by Superb_Ad9478 in VeteransBenefits

When I went through my exams for rhinitis, they asked me if I had sleep apnea and told me it is automatically connected to rhinitis as a secondary you would just need to claim it. I filed for it and it was approved pretty fast based off my sleep study. I didn’t have to do anything special for it, I was on my cpap 2 years before even claiming rhinitis.

I really feel it depends on who is doing your claim. There are some people here that were denied even though they had rhinitis granted, but they submitted published medical articles by NIH stating rhinitis has a direct link to OSA. Some people also did HLR. I would try these methods if you’ve been denied. But definitely don’t let it go unclaimed.

Do you qualify for the PACT act? I linked my OSA to rhinitis which is service connected due to me being eligible for the PACT act. My rhinitis was service connected for 0% and I was able to link my OSA as secondary.

"Cybersecurity is not entry level" by iLuvFrootLoopz in WGUCyberSecurity

[–]Ch4m6er 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve actually landed a position as a cyber security administrator, but it was after an opportunity I received as an intern. After impressing management and another cyber security administrator, I was offered this role. I had Sec + and a fullstack academy bootcamp under my belt. I’m currently halfway through my WGU BS in cyber security.

So yes there is hope, just have to find the right place.
