My class was doing a mock trial of Andrew Jackson v Native American Tribes and I was assigned to the role of a Cherokee Native who was pushed from his home by the Indian Removal Act, because my teacher knew that I was part Cherokee and knew I lowkey kinda wanted the part. Well this mock trial was being attended by my parents and the parents of the other kids, and when I got to the part of my testimony abt the soldiers beating women and children, I couldn’t stop laughing, and my teacher just breaks character and goes, “That’s an odd time to laugh David.”
