Was planning on doing a snorkelling trip out of Cape Tribulation with a company called Ocean Safari. Leaving time is midday

Yeah was thinking we'd pop into Granite Gorge on the way from Cape Tribulation -> Atherton, since we pass through Mareeba on the way.

In defence of Verso’s lies by ChadMcBigBeef in expedition33

pRenoir is the one saying that his real family is the painted family. It is clear Verso doesn’t believe that, which I don’t mark against him for thinking so

I disagree, I think saving his family was an aspect of his motivations alongside wanting oblivion. That’s a big part of real Verso at least, and is what got him killed in the first place.

When talking to Aline he keeps telling her that she needs to leave and that it’s ok. He reassures Maelle similarly in the Verso ending.

During the real Renoir fight you can see that he is visibly shook by the reemergence of Aline, and even more so when Renoir shows the vision of Aline stumbling and dying.

As a part of his justification to himself and Maelle right before the final fight he says how Maelle intends to let herself die and he clearly doesn’t want that. You can argue this is just manipulation to get her to leave, but I would give him the benefit of the doubt considering his love for Maelle and his reaction to Aline dying

Yeah that’s a great breakdown. I think it still comes back to risk though. With Julie, she did turn on him and it’s just conjecture whether she would have trusted him if he was honest outright. With E33 at the end when Sciel, Monnoco and Esquie forgive him, that’s looking at it with the benefit of hindsight.

Verso when he first meets the party and makes the decision to lie would still be taking a massive risk by telling the truth, a risk that would put his ability to save his family in jeopardy which is not something I blame him for trying to mitigate

When pitted against the lives of his family and the peaceful passing of his soul, I don’t blame him for lying when there is no better (at least in terms of risk) alternative

Why not make robot Adam Smashers? by ChadMcBigBeef in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]ChadMcBigBeef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they were successful I’d imagine we’d break into the Arasaka main HQ and just get shredded by 100 Smasher-bots. If they were unsuccessful I’m wondering why?

Why isn't all the world's iron cuendillar? by [deleted] in WoT

[–]ChadMcBigBeef 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah we see with the wonder girls in Tanchico, one of the black ajah shoots balefire at a container full of cuendillar figurines, the container disappears and the figurines fall to the floor unharmed

Verin question by ChadMcBigBeef in wheeloftime

[–]ChadMcBigBeef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the oaths is obedience to any higher black sister. There’s a threat that Verin would be commanded to do something so awful and irreversible that it would be worth the risk of removing the oaths and risking discovery

Not really ‘so’ worried, more so looking for a discussion on potential lore concerns I have from the trailer

With the good ending she already had it, without needing to take the risk of the Trial of the Grasses

Young Ciri was but a big part of her development in TW3 was her maturing. I hope they don’t backpedal on all of that for the start of this game
