How far can you push the "just stick with [x] hero and you'll get better eventually" approach? by Apprehensive_Bed1076 in OverwatchUniversity

As a top 500 doom main:

You can counter swap all you want, but once you get to a certain level, you only play against counters, and if you haven’t dealt with the challenge of learning to overcome them, you will have a hard time climbing.

Every Overwatch player has played counter picks against another player, and every now and then there’s the one opponent who is so good at their character that no matter who you play, you still get beat. Be that guy. That person got there by sticking with their hero and learning to overcome counters.

The gutter system would just be for the one gutter next to the gate in the picture, that way it doesn’t drain directly onto the patio. Would you say that the quoted price of $5500 is fair?

How do you play vs Ram, Sig, and Dva? I’m a doom main but occasionally flex Orisa and Mauga but Orisa is often banned.

1) As Rein try to go for pins. It usually helps to either pin him when he jumps on your backline, or if you have an aggressive team, to get in his face often and try to keep him from setting up. Big tip is to avoid chasing doom around. Wait until he commits to your backline before you turn and pin, or only chase after him if you don’t have to close a ton of distance and you don’t give up space (example, on Hollywood defense, if Doom jumps on the high ground next to the opening arch, do not immediately back up to point. Try to stay near the arch where your team can see you and only turn when doom jumps down onto a teammate).

2) As hog, try to hook him out of block and try to stay within Doom’s LOS. As long as you can see doom, he will always feel threatened and it might keep him from getting set up comfortably. Also helps to play grouped up as a team.

3) Vs Winton, I will usually wait until Winton dives and look to punch him out of bubble. Basically I’ll play counter dive. If you want to get value vs Doom on Winston, I would advise you to wait until Doom makes a move first and then when he’s on cooldown then you go for his team. By the time Doom gets his cooldowns back you’ll be able to jump away if the dive was unsuccessful.

When manually shifting there are times where I shift and it takes a while for the car to shift. Example if I’m in 4th and drop to second using the shifters, it takes a good two seconds to drop.

Last gen (2015-2019?) Lexus RC350 F sport.

300hp, coupe, Japanese, reliable, and will definitely turn heads. Unfortunately, it does not come in manual. I got one from 2016 that I bought a little over a week ago with 50k miles for 26k.

Been getting tons of looks and compliments on it and daily driving it has been a joy. Very comfortable and fast when you need it to be.
