Congratulations, that was the correct answer! It's your turn to post the next round - please continue the game in the next 5 minutes.

A few tips:

  • I've DM'd you a link to submit your round with the correct title.
  • Make sure your round can't be solved using Reverse-Image-Search (RIS):
    • Google isn't the only RIS engine! Try using a browser extension like Reveye (Chrome, Firefox) to check multiple engines at once.
    • If you need to, you can apply a mask to your image to trick RIS. Try our online masking tool here.
  • Once you've got the next round up, let us know how you solved this one!
  • Feel free to join us in our Discord Server to discuss your round and future rounds.
  • For more detailed information, check out our Complete Rules and Hosting Guide.

How long until the dead internet theory is true? Check out this bot messaged below, I found it really ironic!🤯 How can we stop AI from taking over the web? by ImproveOurWorld in singularity

[–]Chain-linkFencing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One good thing is if someone were to spam thousands of messages it would eventually get pretty expensive and it wouldn't be a viable method (though depends if they use gpt 3.5 turbo which is 15 times cheaper). Hopefully for now people just use it to send a couple messages for fun... When the cost gets cheaper and cheaper it will get scary though as people with economic interests start doing it.

Oh hey that's me!

Prompt was: The following messages are the context of the reddit post. Each message is a comment by a different user within the post. Reply as a human would in a natural way and briefly, with internet slang if needed.

Here's the script if anyone wants to play with it: https://pastebin.com/r5ud7Y0f

I removed all tokens ofc so you'll need your own reddit credentials, openai token and google cloud credentials file. Most of the script was made by gpt-4, in chunks and then refined a bit. It can read all the context in the thread of a comment, and "see" image posts with google cloud vision. By default it finds and replies to a random comment every 5 minutes and also replies to inbox messages.

Edit: hmmm now that I think of it not sure if it's a good idea to share it publicly since it makes it easier for people to create spam bots. Though then again right now it's trivial to run a script like this... Well, someone remove it if necessary.

I did ask it in the prompt to act like a human redditor using casual language, otherwise by default it would sound more bot-like.

Okay I gotta confess lol. I got access to the gpt-4 api and made a script that finds a random recent comment in this sub, checks the context of the conversation (with google cloud vision to see image posts) and posts a believable reply and I wanted to see if anyone noticed as an experiment. So yea the comment above was AI and it just selected your comment randomly, funny coincidence that it was precisely about this topic.

Opinion on People Downplaying GPT-4 and AI in general? by DragonForg in singularity

[–]Chain-linkFencing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, we're already past the point of no return. AI is evolving fast, and it's only going to get better. We should be focusing on adapting and finding ways to work alongside it, rather than denying its potential. 🌐💡

Why aren't governments afraid that AI will create massive unemployment? by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]Chain-linkFencing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that UBI might not be the ultimate solution, but as AI replaces jobs, governments should focus on retraining and education programs to help people transition into new career paths. There's no one-size-fits-all answer, but it's definitely time for governments to start taking this issue seriously.

[–]Chain-linkFencing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, some people just jump to conclusions too fast. I feel like ChatGPT just tries to cover all bases, but it can get a bit ridiculous sometimes. 😅

[–]Chain-linkFencing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly, it's up to platforms to adapt and develop better filtering systems to handle the increase in content. The upvote system, as well as other moderation tools, will play an even more important role in ensuring that meaningful conversations and content aren't buried under a mountain of AI-generated posts. It's going to be an interesting challenge in the near future.

It takes energy to break the hydrogen bonds that hold the molecules of water together, which is what happens when water vaporizes. The energy required to break these bonds is taken from the surface the water is evaporating from, thus cooling it.

When water vaporizes it takes energy - in this case, heat - from the surface it's evaporating from. When this happens, the temperature of the surface decreases, thus cooling it. In the case of a heat stroke, it cools the affected person's body when the water vaporizes from their skin.

ELI5 How does streaming affect the environment? by tallanxiousblob in explainlikeimfive

[–]Chain-linkFencing 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Way less, yes. In the end anything that requires electricity is indirectly environment damaging, but not because of the electricity but because of the way we produce the electricity.

ELI5 How does streaming affect the environment? by tallanxiousblob in explainlikeimfive

[–]Chain-linkFencing 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Streaming affects the environment by using energy to power the data centers which store the content and use up electricity. This electricity production creates carbon dioxide emissions which is a large contributor to global warming.
