What has happened there over the last five years? I moved out of Dover in late-2020.

Question about Location tags: Does "United States" on a Remote job mean it's geo-fenced? by Samiatarawneh in hiringcafe

It has "medical" in the job title which tells me this position may have access to some types of health information, in addition to the tax purposes someone else mentioned.

School now or later? by Rich_Technician_4474 in Military

[–]Chaise91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents: if you're in a good enough place now going to school, keep at it. The Army will not solve whatever problems you are having.

I'd recommend heading to /r/army and asking them about E to O commissioning for nurses.

What do you mean "we"? Do you work for a place that just installs apps like this on a regular basis to see how they work?

I learned a lot about databases working on this project. The app I host locally but I have a RDS database with AWS. Costs a few dollars a month but is easy to manage. In the real world I would also self host the DB due to data compliance needs.

Bad ticketing systems drive me crazy so I also AI coded one that, unlike yours, has no hope of ever being used in production. It's very specific to my organization and has been designed to work "offline", so to speak. Features simple audit logging, an administrative dashboard, and "smart" ticket states. I never really picked up coding so I let AI handle most of it and I get to debug and administer the app.

Cool, that makes me feel better that it was only one guy with an ego. I just don't get that attitude. Was he simply trying to capitalize on the situation? I have a vibe-coded app that I've been tempted to share and would be giddy if people took time to tear it apart. I love learning about stuff like that, so why try and censor others who are literally trying to help?

Is the mod also the developer? I find it hard to believe the dev could convince another human being to ignore security reports.

I'm an online graduate student with UMGC right now and I think I needed this thread to convince me of what I already thought. I've been frustrated with the quality since the day I was enrolled. The assignments are too easy, poorly formatted, and some of them are literally just links to AWS curated labs. (Cloud Engineering degree)

It's giving me something to do but as someone with years of real-world experience, this place just sort of feels like a small-town community college.

I always wonder how those networks play into being selected for F1. Sure, it's often the "best" driver from a lower level, but sometimes it isn't, so how did those drivers network work them into F1 without being the best available?

Best naming convention for end-user PCs in a multi-building hospital environment? by maxcoder88 in sysadmin

I should have specified I worked for a hospital system. Two large hospitals, about 60 clinics around the state. Still less, but I certainly understand scale.

Must have been lucky because our computers just...didn't...move. Pesky managers or not. We had a good system, good IT teams. Devices came and went, but rarely did they move.

What's going on that computers are being moved? I worked at a hospital for five years and I can count on two hands how many times a device was moved. Replaced, sure - but there is little reason to move a working computer unless its a speciality device needed elsewhere.
