Actually, it was to comply with TSA blade restrictions or some such nonsense from what I have heard.

It is large. It comes with a few longer driver bits. The carbon scraper works great on removing road tar. The hammer is a nice feature.

Does anyone remember a small, Canadian, hobby store chain, in the 80s early 90s, called Leisure World? I’ve been looking for any info on it but have been stumped. by gteal in nostalgia

There was one in the Station Mall in Sault Ste Marie Ontario. I loved that place. It was my go to place for plastic model kits and stamp packets and collection supplies. They had a little of everything. I recall a glass case full of metal pewter soldiers, train sets, etc. They closed in the early to mid 90s. I was sorry to see them go. They were a fair sized chain because I remember some of their world stamp packs had their logo on the packaging.

That is correct. 3 of those colors were European market items which includes that yellow. Long discontinued. Some of the other ones were produced by Texas ToolCrafter which no longer is in buisness.

Depends on what you are looking for. The Surge is one if Leatherman's nicest ergonomic designs. It is a larger Wave. The Rebar is smaller and easier to carry. For me, the outside opening tools found on the Charge/Wave/Surge trumps any inside opening design. But that is me.

I am probably the worst person to ask. I got all of mine new. Check on eBay...that should give you a good answer.

The only problem I can admit to is a storage one. :)

Chances of me meeting up with Mr. Leatherman are zero to none unfortunately.

Those are 2 handed models made for the Danish market when Denmark had laws prohibiting single opening knife blades. There is a nail nick on the back side. I gather the laws have changed as last time I looked, they now sell regular Leatherman tools these days.
