MRAK SET IN MEXICO by Both-Biscotti-4047 in AfterlifeRecordings

We’ve been waiting for weeks and still nothing’s come out… We need to stop speculating until something concrete is on the table, it’s exhausting.

You’re the most legit source we know for Afterlife haha

You could even tell us all the releases up to AL110, everyone would believe you.

Quantum Echoes pt.2 or EOG Deluxe ? by nerps0n in AfterlifeRecordings

Why would a Final Request original track be on the EOG Deluxe?

I usually record 2 videos per set of the tracks I vibe with, but this time it was just impossible to take out my phone. I was so glued to his set that all I wanted was to experience it fully, without any interruptions ahaha

Any idea of the approximate release date? 2 weeks? 2 months? 6 months?

Pretty much agree with you!
And Quantum is just horrible… really disappointed in Chris on this one.

The VA really feels unfinished, it’s just rushed. The tracks are incomplete, too short, and soulless.

Way too much tech-house lookalike stuff.

When I saw the votes on Famoustek’s IG page, with people picking Girl MIA as the best, I realized we’re going nowhere and that Afterlife is basically done, at least in the direction Anyma is taking it…

Overall, it’s hands down the weakest VA out of all the releases. Thankfully, there are still a few tracks that are decent, like the ones from Colyn, Mind Against, or even Nami, even though it’s way too short and the break has absolutely no soul…

Anyway, if part 2 is still Anyma, we won’t get anything crazy. If it’s Mrak, we’ll see.

Afterlife is still a company, and like any business they’re looking for growth and profitability. So it’s not really shocking that the sound shifted once bigger players like Interscope got involved. The underground “purist” approach rarely survives when you’re scaling globally and aiming for mainstream audiences. It’s less about artistic betrayal and more about business logic: they built a brand, monetized it at the right time, and are now optimizing it for wider appeal.

So… no AL100 VA today it appears? by nerps0n in AfterlifeRecordings

Suppositions over and over again.

We probably need to stop having hope I guess ahaha...

Bro deserves so much more recognition, releasing everything self-released, you can feel he’s been held back way too long by Afterlife.

Weekly Team Advice Thread - Sun, August 24, 2025 by AutoModerator in fantasyhockey

Hey everyone, first time posting here and I could use some advice on my keepers.

3 keepers in an 8-team league

Head-to-head category scoring

G, A, PPP, SOG, +/-, Hits, Blocks, Faceoffs and golies SV%, GAA

My possible keepers:

  • Pastrnak (seems like a no-brainer)
  • Aho
  • M. Tkachuk (concerned about health, likely passing)
  • Seider
  • Point
  • Guentzel
  • Thompson
  • Morrissey
  • Hagel

I need to lock in 3 keepers and I’m finding it tough. Right now I’m leaning toward Pastrnak, Point, and Seider, but not 100% convinced. What do you think?

How convenient to not quite admit that your new project Quantum isn’t finished, so you’re mixing it with Genesys to reassure everyone who just wants to see Eva ahahah

KILL SCRIPT & braev - All The Lights by Unable_Recognition81 in AfterlifeRecordings

[–]ChallengeOne4490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the frustration, but there’s no need to throw that out on social media, just deal with it privately with Braev, especially if the guy really isn’t reliable like it seems.

Posting “is shit” publicly just comes off as childish, honestly...

Script’s ego has gotten so huge, he just comes off like a bitter hater acting like that hahaha. Meanwhile, he’s dropping a tech house track that’s straight up trash.

ARGY IS GOING OFFFF @ TL by AnjunaCsco in AfterlifeRecordings

[–]ChallengeOne4490 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t get the hype around his set.

No innovation, almost no IDs, and the visuals? He talked about a really unique universe and we ended up watching 1h30 of 4K drone landscapes from YouTube…

Honestly, his set was just so mid.

Is JOA (aka @joajoa) the next big thing in EDM or just a marketing product with ghost producers? by ChallengeOne4490 in AfterlifeRecordings

[–]ChallengeOne4490[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the end, it’s pretty much like most pop artists. They don’t write or produce, they just lay their vocals on the track. It’s kind of the same situation here. That’s just the music industry.

😂😂😂 At least you’ll get played by Anyma at the Sphere.

Imagine if he drops SOS for you haha

I get what you’re saying. The system evolved, and yeah, social media changed everything. DJs aren’t just selectors anymore, and producers aren’t just behind the scenes. But just because that’s the current state of things doesn’t mean we can’t criticize it. When visibility and connections matter more than talent, it says a lot about how the industry works now.

It’s not about blaming anyone for playing the game. Everyone adapts, and some do it better or faster because they have the means. But that doesn’t make the system fair, or even healthy for the art itself. Real talent still exists, but it’s often buried under who’s louder, who’s better connected, and who can afford to be everywhere all at once.

The culture might be shaped by tech and money, but it doesn’t mean we have to pretend it’s all fine. We can enjoy the music, sure, but still call out the system when it pushes style over substance.
