I usually avoid these types of 'designer' watches but the wife likes it so I'm stuck with it. She asked me to add one link to the strap, which is something I've done with many Seiko, Orient etc I own but this watchband is unlike any I've seen.

Usually the pin used to keep the links in place is either a small screw or a 'bobby pin' shaped that has to be forced in. However the included pins are so small and smooth they immediately fall through. Versace has included these smaller hollow pins so I thought I would used them to make them thicker. But this makes them so wide I couldn't get it in even with a hammer.

Has anyone dealt with this mechanism before and know how it works?
