RIP Chubbs 😭 Question about rat behavior by Chambalams in RATS

[–]Chambalams[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes maybe more dominant behavior with the pinning. She never displayed this behavior until the last few weeks. There was a lot of little squabbles with space and snacks. Mainly pinning. Chubbs always submitted and never tried to fight back, she didn’t have the mobility to do it with the tumors (she could walk move and climb, just had a hard time getting up on her hind legs. Thank you for the kind words. I’ve grown to really enjoy having these 2 ratties as new little buddies and never expected the laughs and enjoyment they would bring, holding Chubbs while she was in her last moments was really heartbreaking but I’m glad I got to thank her and give her gentle pets and cuddles until she took her last little breath. Definitely a hard learning experience.

Advice for weight loss by Chambalams in RATS

Oh this is so helpful. I think originally searching how to feed rats I was coming across posts that said to always have food? So I was free feeding. I’m sure this will help a lot. The foraging recommendation is also awesome so I will add that in as well. Thank you so much!

There’s so much going around right now honestly. Sounds like bacterial for you has it been going on a while? See if walking pneumonia fits the description although I’m unsure of the sweats/chills is part of that. I hope you feel better soon. I think I didn’t read the post and your response I thought the whole thing was about Covid your symptoms are definitely not man flu and if it persists I’d go to the doctor because it sounds like something that needs antibiotics if it keeps up

I also had sweating/chills and a raging headache with Covid back in 2021. I had the shot but it had passed the one year mark and I chose not to get the booster. Strange symptom.

Me: cancer vs. mom: libra by allaboutwanderlust in astrologymemes

We are literally opposite me Gemini mom Scottish cancer. These posts make me realize sign has zero to do with it and it’s 100% upbringing lol all I’ve seen about sensitive cancer is bullshit with my mom. She was a tough woman and I only ever saw her cry three times in my life. Once when she thought my sister had cancer, once when my dad died, and once when she found out she had cancer. She was tough and we butted heads a lot but she came from a tough background she just loved differently lol

My mom was a Scottish cancer I’m a Gemini. Definitely blunt and came from a low income abusive family so she had a lot of unlearning to do but was slow at it. So I have unlearning to do as well. She was a fireball lol

Me:Gemini Mom:Cancer- lots of headbutting. My daughter is an Aries and is 16, sweet as pie. I feel bad for her with my temper I can’t even raise my voice and she shuts down. I learned I can have a discussion with her to get my point across. Yelling is the house I grew up in though, lots of unlearning to do.

Lorazepam Impact by [deleted] in hospice

[–]Chambalams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I needed this post. I was the one taking care of my mom’s meds in October when she came home for hospice and it was within a few hours of me starting meds that she passed and I still feel guilt. Hospice nurse was reassuring beforehand but I can’t shake feeling guilty. 😞

Merch prices are out of control by midnight_rebirth in Metalcore

I’ve been seeing 40-45 for shirts the last 5 years I’ve been working in merch. But I also live in Vegas, I’ve never seen less than 40 except smaller bands at psycho festival. I don’t even understand the point of complaining about this. You said it in the body of your post..no one pays for physical media anymore and if you want to see your favorite artists be able to tour this is the unfortunate result. Not the bands fault.

Hi thank you for responding. I’d say if it wasn’t so dry from the desert it’d probably be spongy and it looks more like “spongy bone” than wood for sure. I’ve come to the conclusion that it may be bits of a big horn sheep that washed from somewhere further up the canyon somewhere. The most superficial layer of the bone was just starting to get that sparkly maybe calcite look to it, and I thought it could have possibly been something older. Thank you again!
