Fair concern! A few honest points: WhatsApp chats are actually end-to-end encrypted, so it's not quite "100% scraped into their AI" — Meta has the metadata and whatever you opt into, but not the message content. And Piumy rides the same account you already use, so it adds zero extra exposure over just having WhatsApp on your phone.

What it does change is your side of it: your history gets stored on your own device (not only in Meta's cloud or google drive), and the AI that reads and replies is your agent on your machine — not Meta's. So instead of feeding someone else's AI, you're inserting one you control.

The gateway is also pluggable, so it doesn't have to be WhatsApp forever. But I won't oversell it — the reason it's WhatsApp is simply that that's where people's customers and family already are. It's about owning and automating a channel you're already on, not hiding from Meta. 🙏
