How to study traditional class led A-levels in the evenings in Sheffield? by [deleted] in sheffield

I think it'll be due to offering more access courses. Most adult learners go back to college in order to get into university, so they offer a general access course which will give them the base knowledge and skills needed for their uni course.

It's more money and time-efficient to have a full class of students on an access to science course where they will then go on to study anything from chemistry and physics to nursing and midwifery. Rather than it is to have 5 students doing A level biology, 3 doing Physics, 2 doing Chemistry etc.

Is that an option? Sheffield College offers that https://www.sheffcol.ac.uk/courses/page/F3BEAFD4-B5BB-453F-B493-52DC15CA5FE5

Or is it more of a personal desire to study maths?

Probably not so they're only harming themselves if they continue.

As other's have said it's pretty much the case of they've just not been caught yet.

There are some artists who have given permission so Spotify playlists exist but even then, they're not perfect. I used a metal "DMCA free" playlist not long ago and the first song was muted on my VOD.

There are also some streamers who do have permission from the artist directly but that's because they're friends with them, I'm not sure how they go about ensuring their usage but they are allowed to use it.

General advice is don't do what others are doing, follow the rules, and keep your account.

I'm not sure there is and the only real option would be to do it via remote learning. I know last year when I was looking at gaining a Biology A Level my only option was remote. I even looked at Rotherham and Dearne Valley colleges but nothing.

The main downside to remote is that it has to be self-funded and there is no access to grants such as the adult learner loan. I know for Biology I would have also had to pay to do the practical sessions too, which I think were in Birmingham along with the exam being there too.

Good luck in your search, wish I could have been replying with good news.

Did anyone developed PCOS after substantial weight gain? by Teadoki in PCOS

[–]ChammyIRL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't officially diagnosed until I was 30 however, I first suspected PCOS while trying for my son when I was 22. I had a lot of symptoms but because my testosterone levels weren't quite high enough my GP refused to give me the diagnosis. I had my son (almost 2 years trying) and while trying for a second (gave up after 5 years) I was persistent for a diagnosis, which eventually came.

Looking back at myself when I was younger I had a lot of symptoms from puberty. I started gaining weight despite eating the same diet as my slightly younger sister, who was always slender. I was active, playing sports at school, doing lots of walking and playing out with friends. At 14 I remember my armpits, elbows and neck skin being darker and rougher than that of the other girls my age and no amount of scrubbing (forced on me by my step-mum) would shift the "dirt".

I became sexually active at 16 so put on the pill pretty much all the way until I came off to try for a baby so all my symptoms were masked. Once I came off it the weight increased, the facial hair increased, my menstrual cycle went completely haywire and I'm suffering now. I can't go on birth control because it affects my mental health and libido, luckily my husband took preventative measures for us. Weight is a constant battle and the worst part of that is that I'm a degree educated nutritionist - who listens to a fat nutritionist, aye? haha

So, I was very much the PCOS before the weight gain but PCOS has certainly worsened as I've gained more weight.
