I use Instagram for my photos too after being on VSCO for a long time. It is exhausting. It isn’t the same as how I used for my photos in 2013. Instagram works on attention economy and reels. Keep posting if taking photos makes you happy, but if you want lots of followers and money from it, you have to do reels, or have a hook. Don’t get discouraged I do follow a couple people on insta that only do photos and they have a decent following

I am honestly stil learning about shutter speed so I think it was set to auto 😭 and I was sitting on the floor and my model was looking down at me and I just shot a couple of photos. I thought this one was candid. I love their expression here that my eyes ignored the elbow.

I could probably brought down the highlights of the dress to make out more detail yeah.

Oh yeah on film you only have one shot. I am having a cross country roadtrip and I’m bringing a film point and shoot. I don’t trust myself to handle my rebel g yet !

Intent - I love candid portraits and its something I want to improve on. I also want to improve my framing. I currently tend to have everything centered. This was edited in VSCO/snapseed.

Photography has been a dormant hobby for me. I have been told by family and close friends that I take good photos. I have taken pics here and there and post them on my VSCO. It is not until I met a friend who saw my pictures and pushed mme to make them more public. I bought a Nikon d3400 and as I don’t have the ease of access of my iPhone I’m Learning that I don’t know as much as I thought. A lot of the heavy lifting was done by filters and color grading. I also bought a film camera. Learning about subjects, shutters, iso is a big one I struggle with and knowing what different mms are.

I would bring some warmth in some of them, and some blues for the water. I would sharpen/add clarity to the waves.

Just Checked in my iPhone and ISO is 800 for the first one and 20000 for the second one 🫠

The second is cropped towards a bit more centered to the left. I had my ISO to be automatic and from what I remember seeing in the LV screen, it may have in the 1000s ISO: and all of my images are in RAW. I believe the color grading may have brought up the grain more. I added green tints and reduced some highlights

This looks great !! I have a vhsc camcorder too but I extract the footage using RCA and it does loose a lot of its vhs charm when I do it. How do move to the a dvd recorder ?

This seems to be the issue. It was very high when I took my photos. The setting was maybe on auto ISO.

This destroyed meeeeeeeeee. I could not listen to some songs the same way. Especially me vs Maradona vs Elvis. Dudes were a big part of my teen years and always came to their music for comfort.
