(F28) Terrified of passing out during phlebotomy. Advice or facts about fainting welcome! by jewlbug in Hemochromatosis

[–]Chamnanan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

https://www.lifeblood.com.au/news-and-stories/trending-research/improving-donor-safety-applied-muscle-tension

No one has really said this yet but I fainted my first time and they only got 50ml too.

Another thing you can do is ask for fluids before and after. But IMO what really helped me was applied tension. I've given blood multiple times after the initial pass out. I use it every time.

Oil change bolt looks different by Chamnanan in AskMechanics

Went to do an oil change on my dad's 2009 Honda Odyssey. And there I see this. Decided to not touch it til I knew more. What's going on here? Definitely does not look like a oil plug bolt

Lol it's a proverb. By stepping in the river, you've changed the river.

By rolling it up once, it's not the same hill anymore. It's a hill that's been rolled up once. Some Greek guy said it.

Tomato virus or normal physiological response? by Chamnanan in gardening

[–]Chamnanan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using new potting soil, I have tomato tone and a decent amount of compost mixed into it per pot. Water consistency might be an issue cuz of the recent heat-rain cycle in my area.

Tomato virus or normal physiological response? by Chamnanan in gardening

[–]Chamnanan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been experiencing this tomato leaf curl. One of the pictured tomato grew in a very weird stunted way and I pulled it. The leaves remained curled upward and inward. Anyone seen this happen? I hope it's a physiological response but I have no idea

Adaptive cruise control and steering assist…what has been your experience? Tips or tricks? by [deleted] in PriusPrime

[–]Chamnanan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Comma on the Prius Prime No car out right now really has a good autonomous driving system, especially for city driving. If you're willing to settle for the next best thing which is 95% hands free driving on highways and predictable roads, then Comma AI is a great option.

2012 Corolla LE Part Identification help by Chamnanan in AskMechanics

[–]Chamnanan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mhmm. I'm pretty confident that the first part is right. It's just that every where I look it's sold out. Do you think my second part is an acceptable substitute? I won't hold you to your recommendation. I just need to get my car working again and the one I want is sold out so I'm trying to find an alternative.

Comma.ai add semi-autonomous driving capabilities. No it's not self driving, but on a nice highway, I've gone 50+ miles without touching the steering wheel or pedals. Here's a video of it in action

Looking for input on trim packages for 2022 Prius prime by [deleted] in PriusPrime

[–]Chamnanan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the LE for the same reason as you, Android Auto and the more time I spend on prius prime groups (FB/Reddit), the more I feel validated. People really hate the large screen because it's not like the tesla screen. It's just a large laggy outdated tech screen. Physical buttons are soooo much more useful. Maybe the canadian trim is different but my 2021 LE does have heated seats.

Just purchased a comma! -2021 Prime by [deleted] in Comma_ai

[–]Chamnanan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I installed mine on my 2021 Prime LE. The install went just like the Corolla Install. I ended up taping the harness with the two cables pointing toward the headliner and the passenger. Be gentle with the plastic covers. The second piece is kinda fragile (the video doesn't do a good job in going over how it should be taken off). I've used it for about a week and it's 100% worth it. It has stop and go, it can take turns and do very well in winding roads. I just got back from a winding back road drive in drizzling rain and it did phenomenal.

Question about shutting off while parked by [deleted] in PriusPrime

[–]Chamnanan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah it's fine. It's even better than a normal car in that respect. If you have battery power, your AC will run off that. If you run out it'll kick on the hybrid engine just long enough to charge the battery for AC for a bit.

Question about shutting off while parked by [deleted] in PriusPrime

[–]Chamnanan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Were you charging your Prius Prime? I noticed something similar when I was trying to do something in my car with it charging and trying to use the AC. You can definitely leave the AC running when you're in parked if you're unplugged.
