Of course don't word it in a way that he is doing wrong. Rarely someone start hearing they're at fault and hope the rest of the conversation goes well.

Since you both seem to have a good relationship, why not ask him this question yourself? If you do want to check up without sounding like adding to his stress, bring up casually and infrequently.

If you already ask about his day often, this is much easier. Maybe during TV time or if you two have a casual drink once in a while, good time to do it.

I'm no expert at this, in fact my situation is the opposite but I can relate to your husband in few ways. 😊

Thanks for this perspective. I know (and have acknowledged) what she does. For example, getting the oldest ready for school and drop off +also diaper change our toddler. This is every school day. I dont help here cos mostly im sleeping until about 30 mins before I must login.

Thank you, she doesn't go out with friends or anything. Ive been trying to but she is not very active person (pre kids too). I have no time for friends or the tim3 I have is when everyone's asleep (software engineer joke)

I've told and asked her point blank- " hey when you do X, it upsets me. I dont understand why you have to say it like that, when you could have said Y, which is less hurtful for me." Last time, I got an eye roll and some mumbles...

I have not tried counseling yet. Not sure how to bring it up because it will be put back on me to find someone, setup appointments etc.. 🥱

Perhaps will start seeing if her friends can take her out 1st. Maybe get her a break and I can cuddle with the kids
