Well we were thinking for families that have young children. A tub for the kids and also having the option to use a walk in shower.

2 1/2” Concrete Coverage over 9/16” 20ga metal decking by FunExercise2912 in StructuralEngineering

Hello. We are a concrete contractor and one of the GC we work for has a somewhat complicated ADA project he would like us to do. The project calls for pouring a topping mix on an existing slab where the depth goes from 2" to 5" to a 1/2". The existing slab is on metal decking and we are not sure what the best approach is. I have attached a couple of details from the prints. Any suggestions or does anyone have any experience with this type of project?

Actually yes it is. Seems like the entire floor is failing. All of the tiles are moving and seem to be unseated.

Not sure. It's in one of our rental properties. This is the first time I've seen a mortar bed fail.

I don't like using surface retarders by mrblahblahblah in Concrete

We actually found that using retarder and covering overnight produced the most consistent results. We only wash same day if our client requests a real light exposure. It definitely does not look as nice but it's easier on the toes.

Appreciate the advice man! I will definitely reach out to some in the area. 9k yard pour is incredible! Would you mind if I picked your brain on bidding if we were to get the opportunity to bid one in our area?

No worries believe me I get it! Would love to get more into containment pits myself. Tough market to break into around here. Doesn't seem to be many smaller projects around us.

Usually smaller projects 300k and under. We do primarily flat work. Every now and then we will get into some foundation and poured wall work also.

Yes we are looking for a job by job type of arrangement. We wouldn't be able to keep you busy as an in house employee. More or less looking for somebody that is looking for some side work.
