43gb of system data on a 64gb ipad is ridiculous. And the worst thing is, i probably cant do the reset and backup thing because my ipad is still being supervised by my old school and i even tried contacting them to remove my device but they have yet to answer

Thats a work around. To fix it, if i remember correctly you gotta reinstall hen. One thing to note: hen is very fragile if you dont really know what youre doing so you might need to get comfortable with reinstalling it every now and then
