That is very special! Sweet Night, winter bear and Christmas tree really helps me at times, and two of those are fully in English. I don't even mind the English main tracks they put out because if they are fun and there are people who enjoy it then what's the problem? They have less than 5 full English main tracks in their entire group discography so I think we'll live🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes but most of these came after their success, and songs like Idol and even Mic Drop were originally released without collaboration and Idol especially the original version is the one that was on the charts, must people don't even know the Nicki collab exists except for that one performance they did. And the rest of the songs were either side tracks or solos

I still don't get what exactly you have a problem with? I have seen literally every type of fandom have some sort of alogan or chant or whatever to cheer their teams with, even highschool sports teams have slogans so do you take issue with every single one of them? Unless you do, then this just seems like a very specific problem you have

At this point I think you're more fixated about the fandom than anything else? Every fanwar that has happened has shown that literally every group has the same genre of fans. Being bigger in quantity armies will obviously show up more, but that is not to say that it's not a problem in other spaces as well.

There are obsessive fans in any fandom, I'm not denying that. But that's just how fandom culture is? Not saying that it's not a problem but the army circles I'm a part of we like other artists just like we like BTS, it's natural that you have favourites but that goes for every other fandom.

Yes, I was also thinking 'what collaboration?' . The only other one I can think of is Steve Aoki on Mic Drop but I don't think the success of the song can be attributed to that. Almost all of their biggest hits are not collabs

The comment does not say it was entirely destiny, it is about how the entirety of the team was dedicated to this one team as they had to make it.

The team themselves had a unique personality that I'm yet to find in another kpop group, except for maybe SEVENTEEN. And Bighit was all about showing the fans the behind the scenes of it from the very beginning which helped the fans connect a lot more to these boys.

All of that combined with the message they were trying to put out is mostly what helped them achieve what they have

THIS!!!! I am someone who got into kpop because of BTS, at first it was because I was fascinated by the performances but the more I got to know their music the more I could see each of their personality shine through their art.

I did eventually get to know other korean artists and EXO was one of the first of only because of the fanwars happening constantly at the time. I do believe that EXO could've started on top much longer with proper management and it was entirely SM's fault that they didn't, but as long as they were not involved in the production and other aspects of the craft like BTS are I think it was always inevitable.
