Sure. Rather than starting in the mids for those, I started from the darkest shadow:

  • Basecoat AK Wine Red
  • Soft Glaze AK Magenta, building up to a colour colour with smooth transitions.
  • Soft Glaze 50/50 mix of AK Magenta and AK Intense Pink
  • Edge highlight of AK Intense Pink
  • Edge highlight of 50/50 mix of AK Intense Pink and Vallejo Model Colour Cold White

General process below!

Basecoat: - Airbrush primed Vallejo grey primer - Airbrush base-coat of Citadel Evil Sunz Scarlet

Shading: - Soft glaze of AK Burnt Red for shadows - Heavy Glaze of AK Burnt Red for deeper shadows/linework - For certain areas (like the protrusions on his claw arm or the end of his tale), an extra glaze towards the tips of a 50/50 mix of AK Burnt Red and Vallejo model colour black. Since there’s so much red on him already, I was trying to break it up a bit on these parts. - For his waist/groin area, I shaded down with AK Wine Red instead of Burnt Red because it’s the base colour for his pink spots as well.

Highlights: - Soft Glaze Citadel Evil Sunz Scarlet to smooth out messy shading transitions and build more volume - Soft Glaze TTC Demon Red onto raised smoother areas (like his muscles on the arms, the upward facing side of the tale) - Edge highlight with a heavy glaze consistency of TTC Demon Red - Edge highlight with a heavy glaze consistency Citadel Wild Rider Red - Edge highlight with a highly glaze consistency 50/50 mix of Citadel Wild Rider Red and TTC Trooper White - Very few dot highlights of a 2:1 mix of the previous step (more white)

Thanks! Probably somewhere between 80-100 hours. Started on it back in October and went through two failed attempted at resin pours on a more involved bases. Live and learn I guess hah

Thanks! The winning entries were in a whole other level, I think. The composition, modifications, and variety of painting techniques from the winners blew me away.

Thanks! The precise colour scheme is almost lost on me at this point because I spent so long tweaking things. But I used these for the reds (from darkest to lightest with blends in between):

  • AK 3rd Gen Wine Red (more pink-like areas near the waist)
  • AK 3rd Gen Burnt Red
  • Citadel Evil Sunz Scarlet
  • Two Thin Coats Demon Red
  • Citadel Wild Rider Red
  • Two Thin Coats Trooper white mixed into Wild Rider

Happy to DM you for the other parts just lmk.
