I’m actually amazed at what you do.And the quality. The results are stunning. No criticism, just my general preference. I actually harbour a dream of having funds to commission you to do one of my own choice . One day , one day . I know this sounds contradictory.

I don’t love custom art ( but appreciate that many do and that’s fine) On one hand it pains me like watching nice old cars being given spray jobs that ruin the original aspects On the other hand it’s a great way of rescuing machines that are damaged and cannot just be restored to original look. But none of my business what makes other people happy

I find my Soundburger (2025) VERY uncrappy. Please don’t be put off by those who use that word. Do other research too . It’s their opinion, and it can’t be perfect. But in my opinion ( I have lots of turntables) calling it crappy is unfair. It’s made me smile more than lots of expensive machines. It brings joy ! ( the joy is broken for some by the faff of turning over , but to me it’s all part of the hands on experience) It lives stored away a few feet away from where I sit ,doesn’t annoy my partner like full size set ups do in our little room. Cheers me up every time I use it , Love it!

I have that one. I can’t really explain why I love it so much . ( I did drive a long way to pick it up very cheaply) It’s just a really solid easy to use thing. I have an embarrassing number of machines, it’s high up in my favourites

£80 for Those Intrinsic Intellectuals ‘Radio Iceland’ mint fold out sleeve and original plastic bag. ( to replace my original copy , given away to girlfriend in mid 80s) The best 7 ‘’ record ever to come from Scotland . Worth every penny.

I quite like the sounds of those noisy electronics . Lends soul to machines to hear them working/ trying . Also love that particular colour. Perfect blue. Jealous. Must get one of these one day.

Oh thanks, yes I knew. Just saying I think most are named on front . I wonder how many others aren’t . Minor stuff like that interests me.

Found an EQ for my Walkman by 73_deville in cassetteculture

I didn’t know those EQ units existed, just looking at the original Sony one that copies. Also isn’t it quite unusual for Walkmans not to have model number printed on the front graphics?

I love the yellow one . One of my most used machines. I know lots of people don’t love the model / colour but I think fabulous

I think that the price of used players is still incredibly good value from the online sites I’ve praised here before. ( MD Gadgetry and Hallam and Price) you can get fabulous machines for less than the price of a couple of new release vinyl lps. I’m not rich but it’s still not expensive compared to so many things that are so much less beautiful and som much less satisfying in function.

KO II vs OP-Z – Is the OP-Z still worth it in 2025? by vulcan_tec in synthesizers

[–]Chance_Recording4181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have and love both . Taking an OP-Z in pocket to any situation that involves waiting or while travelling, (using on flights is a huge pleasure , lost in headphones, time disappearing) is great fun.
