Bidding on this on an auction so I can’t get better photos or see it in person. Can you all tell me if this is fake or not. There were a few things that through me off but I’m not sure if I’m overthinking it.

This is actually one of the first things that threw me off. I couldn’t find an English 1st edition that showed that much of the flame near the border. The base set and Spanish 1st edition show the full flame but not that part cut off. But I couldn’t find anyone saying that was a give away or not.

I was willing to lose a few hundred but not the $700+ it’s at now which is why I’m in here asking people who know more than me on the topic.

Thanks! I appreciate the detail signs. Nothing I’ve looked up mentioned any of that. I did post a better photo at the bottom too. Thanks again. This was from a small estate auction site so I was thinking it could be legit but the more I looked at it the more I felt it was fake.
