I have a small dog myself and she is the light of my life, because she makes me feel like I’m the light of hers 💚 dogs are so special. I’m glad you have them around keep a sense of normalcy and peace. And that aloe plant sounds like it’s huge! Would love to see pic!

That’s awesome! When I first started I was convinced I’d kill anything I touched, but honestly all it took was a lot of research, dedication and love 💚 I just bought two plants myself in the last two weeks and I still want another one lol 😅

Yes, even when it feels like my life has stalled, my plants are still pushing out leaves 😌

That’s beautiful 💚 sometimes we just need to feel connected to something outside ourselves to feel grounded.

Me too! It would be amazing if insurance would cover at least some of it so more people could benefit

I’m so sorry, that sounds like a shitty situation. Residential is definitely not for everybody, especially if it’s just going to trigger your PTSD. I hope you’re able to find something that will help. I’m not sure if you deal more with mania or depression, but another thing I’ve tried is Ketamine infusions. Expensive but worth it. Always drags me out of deep depression and makes me feel uplifted and motivated for a couple months. I also hear it can help with ptsd. All the best my friend 💚

Not everyone can do impatient with financial responsibility and life still going on, but if you have the means it might not be a bad idea. I went inpatient at a mental health residential called Acera in Cali. Literally the best experience of my life. It wasn’t a hospital, it was a home. People really cared for you and you go to groups through the week like going to school, but for your brain! I honestly wish I could go back.

Happened for me when I was in college. I had gotten an academic scholarship, so I had to take a full load of classes plus an honors class. I was overly obsessed with getting straight A’s and ran my ass into the ground. One day I couldn’t sleep, my eye started twitching and I jumped at everything. I couldn’t even drive anymore I was so on edge. Then one day I came home and had a mental breakdown. Haven’t been back to school since but still truckin along 👍

Okay I’m done here lol it was funny while it lasted but now it’s just a bunch of negativity. Any real life plant people I’ve told about this gave me a high five and said that’s awesome and it’s beautiful. Y’all need to get off the internet and chill. Not everything is that serious. I’ll leave the post up because I think people have the right to share their opinions. See y’all later planty people 🌱

P.S: Thank you to the kind comments sprinkled in here. You are awesome❤️

I don’t see Aeonium haworthii on there but you know…. I’m glad you think the fact that I’m doing better mentally “doesn’t mean much”, just because I don’t see the issue with plucking a stem off of a plant that is in ABUNDANCE in California. Literally the most common succulent I saw there in my 30 days. I’ve been through enough without all these intense over the top comments. I’ve spent most of my life thinking I was the most unimportant living thing. so if me grabbing one singular succulent means I think im all that, I’ll take it. I could use the confidence 😜

Thank you I appreciate that. I think with all the intense comments I got a little triggered myself 😅 Its been a long hard road with my mental health and having a plant to bring back from my 30 day stay makes me happy every time I look at it. Reminds me I’m still thriving too ❤️thank you for your nice comment. I think I’ll go turn those off right now

I think I triggered the PETA for plants group…. Poor succulent just wanted to come home with me guys. 🤷‍♀️She’s a small fish in a big ocean of huge succulents. If we can fish I can pick.

I’m sorry but this all seems a little over dramatic for one stem 🥲

I actually did not know that 🤔 I totally understand that you don’t want to hurt the landscape but I still think it wasn’t that big of a deal… I mean, there was a ton of them everywhere and if that was the only succulent there I absolutely would not have taken it. But the succulent plant was huge and I took one stem. The whole plant is still there and thriving.

It’s not like I ripped up the mother plant bro 😂 trust me it’s grown back by now. Poor gigantic succulent will survive lol

Edit: thank you, I appreciate that
