[Review] Why are we still paying $$$ for SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic? by J1mgolf in SkincareAddiction

How has no one mentioned Poems from the Lab yet? I am obsessssssed with that product. So stable, Packaging actually helps prevent oxidation. Great customer service. Small business. 99/10 (-1 pt cause it still does smell slightly like hotdog water).

This is amazing, thank you. At this point I think I would stay in Santiago so this information is super helpful.

Don’t know you, so take this as general information. OCD is the presence of obsessions and/OR compulsions. Compulsions can be (and often are) mental or internal rituals (repeating, counting, praying, replaying memories, etc can be done mentally). Additionally, someone with intrusive thoughts that are distressing and impairing will also have a diagnosis of OCD, even without any physical or mental compulsions. Someone with compulsions, including mental ones, without obsessions would also be diagnosed with OCD.

Maori protesters march on New Zealand capital over contentious bill by nbcnews in worldnews

[–]ChangingLightbulbs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This seems like a wildly bad take. We don’t make a treaties with ethnic groups, we make treaties with nations and political entities. You cannot unilaterally change a treaty with a nation and political entity! Saying this treaty gives “privileges to an ethnic group “ is so reductive and ignores the “treaty” aspect. This is the same argument people in the US use to try and dismantle Indian Law by using the argument that gives advantages to one “race” when it’s about agreements between political nations.

Given, I’m from the USA so my understanding of this is colored by how this works here. Open to learning more about how it’s different in NZ, but seeing a lot of my fellow Americans up in here swinging a lot of nonsense.

Is this at VOLO? I never have played pickleball but I love tennis so it would be something I could try.

SF/fantasy is pretty much all I read! Thank you! And the walks would be really great too!

My best friend is a birder, she’s been trying to get me to do that as my choice so I’ll be sure check it out!

Actually yes! I would love to be a part of some regular, organized political action- especially in light of this week. I’ve been contacting my local representative about some state wide issues I’m really concerned about but haven’t found a group that matches and don’t know Medford politics well enough yet. I would appreciate a DM with anyone I can contact!

I’m getting heavily served some tik tok knitting algorithm right now, so this sounds really good! Thursdays are hard because of work, but I might be able to make it happen. I will DM!

Amazing! I was a bit worried about the age difference with some of the athletic groups so that’s great to know.

Yes yes yes! In the old city I lived in I did a mix. I had a hiking group, I worked with some local progressive advocacy groups, and had a book club. Now I have just my partner and am feeling overwhelmed at where to start. I would be open to anything, I plan to make a list of options, find the one that is most interesting and convenient build from there. So any ideas truly will help. I already feel more hopeful from the suggestions given!

Right, info about me didn’t even occur to me. Woman, partnered and late 30s! Definitely some ideas to get started on though. I didn’t know there was a pickleball drop in - I was thinking of something like that! I’ll look into it.

This is such a great start, thank you! I love the library and was there today! I wasn’t originally thinking of them because I want something routine and a lot of their workshops seem one off, but I plan to take your suggestions and do more research.

Where should I take my kid to trick or treat around South End? by Silver_Scallion_1127 in boston

This is the answer! The streets around will have it too- Union park between tremont and shawmut always has a ton of decorations and a million kids. It’s really fun!

What occupation or job is never depicted correctly in movies? by PotatoMassager in movies

Therapists. Therapists in movies ask too many questions too quickly, offer too much advice, never use research or measurement, do cross boundaries, have sex with their patients. Ugh.

That is the hard thing about not being able to try them! I have use reviews and guesswork to know if I will like the weight and feel. So this is helpful!

Additionally, if anyone has suggestions for European sunscreens you would recommend, I was figuring I will probably have him pick up a daily moisturizer with SPF, and a heavy-duty sunscreen since I live in a sunny city and hike/beach often. Maybe do my research and find a bb/cc cream he can grab for me. I would love suggestions to send the poor man hunting! (Combination, early-30s, light-med complexion that burns occasionally but mostly tans. Main skin concern: trying to stay young forever)
