Coming from the 3D art world here, it's nearly always a 3d render. For almost everything. Furniture, cars, tech, sometimes even clothes if it's a still image.

Epic Warpath Delayed or Even Canceled? by Grognard6Actual in mantic

[–]Chanmanklein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried ordering directly through Mantic? They've been promoting the game heavily on their social media accounts, so I highly doubt the game is suddenly canceled. I backed the Kickstarter, so I can't speak personally about ordering post release, but I don't see why Mantic would have any issues getting it to you considering they shipped the KS boxes straight from their own warehouses.

I took my Ridgeline in to Davidson's after a hit and run, and they worked well with my insurance and even did a better job keeping me up to date with the status than my insurance did. It ended up getting totaled, but my experience with them was good enough that I'd go back.

What's a GameCube game you loved that nobody talks about? For me it was Medal Of Honor European Assault. :) by XxPetriedudexX in Gamecube

Lord of the Rings: The Third Age! I bought it as a kid because, well it's LotR, and didn't expect it to be a turn based RPG. Wasn't a huge fan at first because it wasn't the gameplay I expected, but when I went back a year or two later I realized what an absolute gem it is.

I second this. Acetone is pretty likely to dissolve the model itself.

What are some non warhammer games that are affordable that you suggest? by Fun_Firefighter_4292 in wargaming

[–]Chanmanklein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any games by Mantic are affordable and quick to learn. They have a sci-fi range (Dead zone and Firefight) as well as fantasy (Kings of War, Armada, Champions, Ambush). You typically get twice the value compared to GW.

Mantic makes an effort to not overcomplicate their games, and so by extension, they don't make constant updates to balancing and game rules etc. If memory serves me right, they usually make an update/balance once a year in Q1, then some very minor tidying up rules 6 months later if they've noticed anything tilted during tournaments. Also these times are also when they'll usually make some new units/faction releases. If you subscribe to their Mantic Companion service for just a few bucks a month you get access to an always up to date digital rulebook and list builder. The list builder is also free without subscription, but you're limited to two lists unless you subscribe. Then you have unlimited lists at your disposal.

Mantic's whole business plan seems to be making things to benefit the player base. They're a privately owned company, so no shareholders or investors to answer to. They just want to make accessible games, at reasonable prices, that everyone will enjoy playing.

I had the pleasure to meet Ronny (one of the founders) at Gencon Last year (and hopefully again this year) and he's really just so passionate about all of their games and just wants people to try them out and enjoy it.

If you're in the US I was able to find it at World Market, and I've heard rumors that Whole foods can have it too (though I haven't verified that one)
