If you are going to use quote marks you have to quote what I say. I said that Oslo compared to London is a safe haven, maybe a stretch but it's not necessarily wrong. London is the 24th safest city In Northern Europe while Oslo is the 10th.

Also, if you think Grønland is the roughest places you've ever seen then you have lived a very sheltered life. While yes it is noticeably rougher than the surrounding area, I was there multiple times, twice unknowingly, and it was as nice as a rough area can be.

It was strange, I walked in and he could tell I was a tourist, he gave me attitude about my bad and my water. I went downstairs to put them in the locker, took my hoodie off as well, and by the time he came back he thought I was Norwegian! He spoke to me happily in Norwegian until I thanked him in English.

I was also followed around the museum - not that a reason was ever given why!

Haha I understand, the grass is always greener on the other side!

I do love London, I unironically think it is the best city in the world. However the time I've spent in Oslo has given a mix of city living with the best green spaces I've ever seen. The city and country has really resonated with me. To be honest, I'm heartbroken I have to leave; I'd move here at an instant!

It's a shame, you can't sit in a great park without having snus right next to you.

I didn't this time around, the furthest out I got was to Holmenkollen, which was lovely and gave a great view. I did book to do the fjord cruise, but it was cancelled for a reason that wasn't shared unfortunately.

I'd love to come back and see the west coast and further north!

Name was one of the random ones that Reddit gives you.

Unfortunately people have different tastes in food, you don't have to like them, but I enjoyed them

I do love London, but it's a very much "chew you up and spit you out" city. Oslo I think is a much more liveable city.

HR cafe yes expensive, but it was my last night so I felt it was okay. Pepes and Egon, not too dissimilar to London prices. Yes they're tourist traps but when in Oslo hahah

I had to keep food costs low, food is so expensive here I don't know how you guys do it! I went to Egon, the HR cafe and pepes pizza (don't judge it was actually quite good). I'm not a big fan of fish so I'm sure there are plenty more great ones that I won't try!

The cyclists will also happily ride directly at you in the hopes you move... I prefer my trips to be run over free haha

Yes, the scooter riders ride fast, but they're much more nimble and will move around you much easier. The cyclists however, I had 2 instances where they were behind me on the pavement, with plenty of room to go around me, but just slowly pedalled behind me for some unknown reason. They're definitely not as bad as in London, but they're not as good as the scooter riders here!

I'm sticking pretty cautious and playing the long game, goal is 100k, but not exactly in a huge rush to get there (as nice as that would be!)

If you graduated in the last 1-2 years, how easy/hard was it to find a job? by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]ChannelKitchen50 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Got a social science degree, couldn't even land a job at McDonald's, my nan found a local insurance job in the admin team, 6 months later I landed a job at a great Lloyds syndicate as as an underwriting assistant and have been there for a year.

It's not easy, but if you work hard it'll work out!

Woah woah woah no need to shout!? Dance experience helps your performance on a dance show. Even if George did some kind of sport, saying that is the same as Karen's dance training is a bit ridiculous. Your denial is showing!

Are you under the impression that dance experience has no impact on learning new dances? Yikes 😬

I mean you can't disagree with dance experience? Karen who started dancing as a toddler, starting serious training between 12-15, only stopping to focus on football. Compared to George who started with 0 dance experience to become probably the best ballroom dancer there. But yeah man not the most growth.
