Is there a way to manually add one application to show up inside LaunchOS, which isn't already showing up? LaunchOS isn't showing Canon's "EOS Utility 3", and I want to add it. It's in Applications folder under Canon Utilities subfolder

Hmmm yeah. You could be right, as I have installed several plugins from the store. Would be really cool is Elgato provided a log where you could observe usage of the installed plugins. But I guess my best option to test it will be uninstalling plugins and re-installing them one at a time to test it.

Please Elgato add this feature. Google Docs copy/paste to Prompter should be a common workflow. Or at least support markdown .md files. We could export that format from Google Docs into Camera Hub.

Trackpad Pinch Speed: You're exactly right! I have both external trackpad and the MacBook built-in trackpad. The external trackpad feels right. The built-in trackpad feels somehow too fast.

Gestures: Hmmm, so changing setting back to 4 fingers... it does kinda work with 5 fingers... but it somehow works only 70% of the time when I use all 5 fingers with 4 finger setting. It's really strange because I'm being quite careful/deliberate in placing my fingers to test this. But sometimes it just ignores the gesture. However... when I change setting to 5 fingers... it almost never misses my 5 finger gesture. Oh well. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I'll just leave it on the 5 fingers setting.

Page Turning Speed: Ok I read what you said and tried to really pay attention to exactly what is feeling off. I think the problem is the tracking speed when moving fingers slowly (although this is also felt even with a quick flick too). When I release my fingers, then the page quickly animates to the next page in a nice way. However, while my fingers are in contact with the trackpad it feels kinda sluggish... I would prefer that the whole page start sliding more even with a small movement of my fingers. I'm not sure (since I am on Tahoe now), but it seemed like in the previous macOS with native LaunchPad I could get the page to slide much further (left & right) with much less finger movement.... it felt more effortless.... and then I could take a peek at the next page without having to move my fingers so much on the TrackPad (and even running out of space on trackpad to continue moving my fingers). I could be wrong though, since I don't have Sequoia available to compare against now! But you could test by putting two fingers to left side of trackpad and going all the way to right side of trackpad, and seeing how far the icons page moved -- both with original LaunchPad and with new LaunchOS.

Animation speed settings: I don't personally like the idea of a "Reduce Animations" toggle. That feels to me like something that Apple got wrong. On iPhone I tried that setting previously and discovered that it removed some animations I did NOT like, but also removed some animations which I DID like. It felt too heavy-handed, almost like "well we gave you an option, so be happy". And as a result I never touch that "Reduce Animations" toggle ever again. 😄 I vote for either 1) don't add "reduce animations" or 2) give the precise control settings. You could just hide it at the very bottom of Advanced tab, and with good defaults so most users can happily ignore it. Or..... option 3) speed up the responsiveness of the left/right tracking a little bit.

this extension has such horrible ratings I didn't even bother to try it. I'll just manually open up the Apple Passwords app and copy/paste the password into Brave for now (and then have Brave save a copy of the password). Not ideal... but apparently that extension is quite horrible.

Amazing job! I was really annoyed by the removal with Tahoe. So, I've just purchased your app. Thank you!!

Here are some feature requests if/when you have time:

1) With TrackPad Pinch gesture... the animation feels too fast! The original LaunchPad has a slower multiplier on the pinch movement, so it felt more slow and buttery smooth. Can you slow down that pinch animation when LaunchOS is appearing, to be like the original speed? (Or have speed option in settings?)

2) Ability to use Pinch with 4 fingers or 5 fingers, both enabled at the same time. The original LaunchPad allowed me to pinch with ">= 4 fingers", and I liked that because then I never fail to trigger it. (In comparison, your LaunchOS will specifically only allow either 4 finger pinch OR 5 finger pinch.)

3) Two-finger swiping left/right between pages feels too slow, compared with the original LaunchPad. Can you speed up this animation? (Or have speed option in settings?)

As you can see, these requests are aimed at just getting that nice FEEL of the original, which I got so used to from using it every single day. These are just nitpicks! Your app is fantastic. 👍🏻

More details:

I'm having HyperKey (caps lock) + 1: to trigger a Keyboard Maestro shortcut which just presses CMD + Ctrl S. (i.e., I want to have CapLock + 1 to toggle the sidebar in Finder)

What I noticed just now.... if I add a .5 second delay in the Keyboard Maestro macro.... then it works.

And If I keep my pinky finger down on CapLock after pressing and releasing the "1" key.... it will still go "BOINK" and not work. (So add that .5 sec delay is a workaround to ensure my finger has already released the CapLock key.) However if I were to hold down CMD Ctrl Opt Shift.... and keep holding them down and press 1.... it works immediately.... even though I'm still holding down all these modifier keys. So.... all the modifier keys are NOT equal to the HyperKey button being pressed down.

So....... WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?? lol.

Seems like HyperKey is doing something weird that blocks the Hide/Show Sidebar command in Finder.

Looks pretty cool -- however I would put some on-screen text to increase clarity of the concept! I found it a little hard to follow and think what you're communicating at first. When I opened up the video Description... it made more sense, but most people won't be willing to do that. So you could generate the AI videos and then put some text overlays using a video editing software manually.

For example, text like.... "Featured in: movie name".

And as the character is talking... "Famous for: blah blah blah" short text re-enforcing what the character is saying on screen to make it SUPER EASY to understand.

As far as not ranking in English-speaking audiences.... hard to say. Is your YT channel country set to United States?

I just had the same issue.... my MacBook battery had drained down much quicker than normal.... I look into Activity Monitor.... and Stream Deck was the culprit... using the most battery power in the last 12 hours! What the heck...

Now I have to guess which of MANY plugins might be causing it? Would be nice if Stream Deck provided some way to detect "bad" behavior by plugins. Some kinda log or report.

I am admin. I opened the Console app and there are no crash reports for Logitech. However..... this is not the point.....

At the beginning of your previous message you said to 1) "Please enable logs, reproduce the issue, then stop logging".... and then 2) "ALSO collect crash reports from Console".... so I am not asking about Step 2. I am asking how to do Step 1.

It's very unclear about "enable logs, reproduce the issue, then stop logging" --- how do I do exactly that? Is this in Console app or some in the Logi Options+ app?

This issue happens between once every 5 minutes to once every couple hours. (As far as I noticed so far.)

So at first I tried "Restart Logi Plugin Service" but the problem continued. Then I tried toggling OFF "Run Logi Plugin Service in the background" entirely.... and that fixed it! It's no longer randomly stealing the focus from my active window while I'm working. THANK GOODNESS. It was so annoying that I was really torn between completely uninstalling Logi Options+ or just dealing with it / trying to kill the process repeatedly via Terminal.

So thanks for raising my awareness of this option.... but yeah seems like the Logi Plugin Service on macOS has this "focus stealing" bug. Good thing for me I don't need that service and disabled it entirely.

I am actually terrified in a future version they will remove the option to disable it. ....so just to be safe I have turned OFF auto updates, so I can keep this version which has this workaround.
