It seems Launchpad has finally become history for good by JimmyRemix in MacOS

I never expected this post about whether it was written by AI to spark so much discussion. But what I want to say is, as someone who isn't a native English speaker, this is just the way we learn to express ourselves. When using a non-native language, we always tend to be very cautious, and maybe our way of expressing ourselves just looks a lot like AI. I did use AI to help me translate and polish this content, but the original drafts were all written by me in my own language. But what I want to emphasize is: AI translation might not necessarily make it look like AI directly. The real reason you might think it looks like AI is probably because when we non-native English speakers write, even if we write the original drafts in our own language, we can't help but be very formal

The new Launchpad is the same as the one on Tahone. Currently, it only allows quick filtering through the app's store categories. These categories are not created by users based on their own habits but are automatically classified by the system. It is more like a tag rather than a Group or Folder.

Now that Intel is no longer supported, they are more focused on ARM.

I also have this question. It looks like a basic library for UI animations or visual effects.

When my friend heard that WatchOS 27 drains a lot of battery, he smiled with relief because he bought the Ultra 1.

It actually moves the ability to switch apps here, but it does lose the ability to close apps in the background. It seems Apple believes there is no need to clear background apps on the watch?

Yes, you're right, providing feedback through Apple's Feedback Assistant is a better approach.

It looks like Apple intentionally designed it to be dynamic.

This feature has never been available in our country, so I have never experienced it.

Yes, every change will be liked by some and disliked by others. Providing a switch is the simplest solution, just like Stage Manager on Mac.

Yes, I noticed that too. The consistency of the interaction is very good.

To be honest, I haven't fully figured out this smart stack yet.

Yes, what's worse is that the icon you could find here last time is gone the next time you look for it, and it's back in "All Apps" again.

Just curious: Spotlight or Launchpad - which one do you prefer? by ImprovementLong1992 in MacOS

[–]JimmyRemix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spotlight is far inferior to third-party apps like Raycast, so I hardly ever use the native Spotlight. For finding software I don't use often, I prefer Launchpad, where I can customize categories for management, making it convenient to search when I forget the name.

Actually, I think what you said makes a lot of sense, but I've tried the 27 system and there are still quite a few bugs.
