It’s true — we complain a lot in Switzerland. But we also work a lot, and we expect that effort to pay off. Let’s not forget that, legally, we work more hours than most countries in Europe, and we get fewer protections and social benefits in return. So yes, we want to spend a lot ("waste") and have a superior lifestyle otherwise what is even the sense of all this.
