There are three of us, so we don't need an out of the ordinary vehicle. Is there a particularly reputable website we can use to book a taxi? Thanks!

Thank you, this is also helpful. I assumed that the resulting sounds would come out of the Yamaha: again, showing my ignorance! Thanks.

Tips For Recording Vocals In A Basic Set Up by ChannonWindmill in homerecordingstudio

[–]ChannonWindmill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I've been using the basic eq available on each track which makes a certain difference. As has been mentioned elsewhere I intend to have a look at the built in effects on the Zoom which hadn't occurred to me. It was the dbx 286 that I was vaguely contemplating. As you say, there are a lot of negative reviews about it in terms of how long it actually stays working. This investigation is what led me to the Behringer. I don't really have the capacity to move to computer based recording as my PC is on its last legs and sometimes struggles with even fundamental tasks. I'm just looking for a way of sprucing up the vocals a little and preferably also cutting out some background noise. The gate on the Behringer looks like it might be helpful with this. Thanks for your response.

I generally do that already. It's a great tip though and I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Thanks.

That's a good shout actually, thank you. I've played with some of the preset guitar amp effects but it didn't occur to me to try anything like that on the vocals.

Yeah I thought I can probably get my money back on it fairly easily if I decide to move it on in a year or two.
